2016 San Diego Aviators Season
The 2016 San Diego Aviators season was the 22nd season of the franchise in World TeamTennis (WTT) and its third playing in San Diego County, California. Led by 2016 WTT Male Most Valuable Player, Ryan Harrison, and Coach of the Year John Lloyd, the Aviators had 8 wins and 4 losses, the best regular-season record in WTT. They went on to defeat the Orange County Breakers, 25–14 in extended play, in the WTT Finals to win the King Trophy as WTT champions. Raven Klaasen was named WTT Finals Most Valuable Player. The league title was the third in franchise history and the first since moving to San Diego. Early life Luddy grew up in New Castle, Indiana, the son of an accountant father and a Catholic-school teacher mother. A draft is a process used in some countries (especially in North America) and sports (especially in closed leagues) to allocate certain players to teams. Austin Aces
The Austin Aces were a World TeamTennis (WTT) team in Austin, Texas, USA. The team was known as the Newport Beach Breakers from 2003 until the 2011 season and as the Orange County Breakers during 2012 and 2013, before moving to Texas for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. On December 14, 2015, the Aces' owner Lorne Abony announced that the team had been unable to find a suitable permanent venue and would move back to Orange County, California for the 2016 season and be renamed the Orange County Breakers. The New York Sportimes were a professional tennis team competing in World TeamTennis (WTT). The team was originally based in eastern Long Island from 2000 to 2002, before moving to Westchester County, New York in 2003, and then to New York City in 2009. The team was founded as the New York Hamptons in 2000, before changing its name to the New York Sportimes in 2003. Květoslava Peschke (née Hrdličková; born 9 July 1975) is a Czech retired professional tennis player who was ranked world No. 1 in doubles.
