The 2016 season is Penangs 90th competitive season, 1st season in the top flight of Malaysian football since promoted in 2015, and 95th year in existence as a football club. The season covers the period from 31 December 2015 to 31 October 2016. Penang FA
Penang Football Club (or simply known as Penang FC) is a Malaysian professional football club based in George Town, Penang, that competes in the Malaysia Super League. Unofficially founded in 1920, officially as Football Association of Penang on 21 October 1921, the club represents the state of Penang in football tournaments. The team has traditionally worn a blue home kit. They have a long-standing rivalry with Kedah; the two teams from the northern region of Malaysia being engaged in what has been collectively known as the ''"Northern Region Derby"''. The state football team play their home matches at the 20,000 capacity City Stadium in George Town. Penang had established itself as a major force in Malaysian football between the 1950s to the 1970s. Brent Griffiths (born 24 March 1990) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for Gwelup Croatia. Early life Griffiths was born in Stoke-on-Trent, England, and raised in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. Muhammad Rafiuddin bin Roddin (born 22 August 1989 in Tawau) is a Malaysian footballer who plays for Malaysia Super League club Kuching City as a left-back. He also can plays as a winger. Club career Perak FC Rafiuddin signed a contract with Perak FC on loan from his former team Harimau Muda A in August 2011 for Perak's Malaysia Cup campaign. Muhammad Faizat bin Mohamad Ghazli (born 28 November 1994) is a Malaysian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Malaysia Super League side Penang and the Malaysia national team. Mohd Faiz bin Subri (born 8 November 1987) is a Malaysian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or forward for Malaysia Super League side Penang. Mohd Azrul Ahmad (born 25 March 1985, in Penang, Malaysia) is a Malaysian professional football player who plays as a midfielder for Kelantan in the Malaysia Premier League.
