The 2016 season was Minnesota United FC's seventh season of existence and their sixth consecutive and final season playing in the North American Soccer League, the second division of the American soccer pyramid. In 2017, Minnesota United FC joined MLS as an expansion team along with Atlanta United FC. Minnesota United FC is an American professional soccer club based in Saint Paul, Minnesota that plays in the Western Conference of Major League Soccer. The club began play in 2017 as the league's 22nd club, and replaced the North American Soccer League (NASL) franchise of the same name. The club played its home games at TCF Bank Stadium, on the campus of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, for its first two seasons in MLS play. The club began playing in Saint Paul (becoming the city's fourth professional sports team, joining the Minnesota Wild, the St. Paul Saints, and Minnesota Whitecaps), at Allianz Field in the Midway neighborhood starting in the spring of 2019. Atlanta United FC, commonly known as Atlanta United, is an American professional soccer club based in Atlanta that competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the league's Eastern Conference. Jeb Brovsky
John Eli "Jeb" Brovsky (born December 3, 1988) is an American former soccer player. Career College and amateur Brovsky played youth soccer for Colorado Rush with whom he won many state and national titles. He went to Green Mountain High School where he played both soccer and football as well as basketball. Brovsky then played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish for four years and was one of the top players in the Big East Conference. Professional Brovsky was drafted first in the second round (19th overall) in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft by Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The New Mexico Lobos men's soccer team represented the University of New Mexico in all NCAA Division I men's soccer competitions from 1983 until 2018. The team became a soccer-only member of Conference USA in July 2013 after leaving the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (the school's primary conference, the Mountain West, only sponsors that sport for women). Justin Davis (soccer)
Justin Davis (born May 6, 1988) is an American soccer player. Career College and amateur Davis was born in Commerce, Michigan. He played his college career at the University of New Mexico where he played mainly as a forward, but was noted for his versatility. Davis led the MPSF in scoring while earning first team all-MPSF accolades. He also earned second team all-Far West Region honors. During his college years Davis also played for Des Moines Menace in the USL Premier Development League. Professional Davis was drafted in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft by Real Salt Lake, but was not offered a contract by the team. The Atlanta Silverbacks FC were an American professional soccer club based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1998 as Atlanta Ruckus, the club played in many leagues over the years before folding after the 2015 season.
