The 2016 Metropolitan FA season was the club's second season of existence. Metropolitan FA
Metropolitan FA is a Puerto Rican association football club from the capital of San Juan that currently plays in the Liga Puerto Rico. The club plays its home matches at the Parque Reparto Metropolitano. History Metropolitan FA was founded in 2012 by Argentine Jorge Silvetti. In 2015 the team finished third in the Copa Excelencia which took place that year in lieu of a Puerto Rico Soccer League season. By the 2016 season the club was competing in the resurrected Puerto Rico Soccer League, the top tier of football on the island. After finishing in second place during both halves of the regular season, the team had the most combined points in the league and advanced directly to the final. The club won the league championship in the playoff by defeating Bayamón FC in the final at the Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium. Don Bosco FC (Puerto Rico)
Don Bosco FC is a Puerto Rican soccer team based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, San Juan, Puerto Rico. History In 2016, they competed in the inaugural 2016 Copa Luis Villarejo, Copa Luis Villarejo. Losing in the first round to Criollos de Caguas FC with an aggregate of 2–14. On February 26, Don Bosco beat GPS Puerto Rico 2–1 to win the 2017 Don Bosco Cup preseason tournament with Luis Jordán scoring on a penalty and Alexander Cruz scoring late in the game to finish it. Club Atlético River Plate Puerto Rico
Club Atlético River Plate Puerto Rico is a Puerto Rican professional football team based in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Founded in 2007 as a franchise of the Argentine club River Plate, the team plays in the Puerto Rico Soccer League, and is the reigning Supercopa DirecTV champion. The team plays its home games at Roberto Clemente Stadium in nearby Carolina. The club's colors are red, white and black. Their current head coach is Argentine Walter Zermatten. History On 27 June 2004, a group of 31 fans of C.A. River Plate of Argentina signed an affiliation document with the club. The event was led by the group's founder, Steven Alvarez. Karlos Ferrer
Karlos Ferrer Mojica (born January 28, 1998) is a Puerto Rican soccer player currently playing for Liga Puerto Rico club Metropolitan FA and the Puerto Rico national team. Career Youth career In 2011, Karlos Ferrer played for the CD Barbosa youth team, and in the 2011 season he was chosen as MVP. Club career On July 28, 2016, Ferrer was one of five youths practicing football to have been awarded the first Lyon Scholarship for sporting and academic excellence. Ferrer excelled with the Metropolitan FA during the past season of the Puerto Rico Soccer League. Ferrer became the all-time top scorer in the Puerto Rico Soccer League (PRSL) with 29 goals scored in a single season with the Metropolitan FA. Academia Quintana
Academia Quintana F.C. are an Association Football club from San Juan, Puerto Rico. They were founded in 1969, making them one of the oldest clubs still in existence in Puerto Rico. They are one of the founding members of the Puerto Rico Soccer League, the island's first nationwide league. The reserve team plays in the Liga Nacional. The club plays their home games at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium, sharing the facility with Atléticos de San Juan. The team currently plays in the Liga Puerto Rico. Ballista FC
Ballista Futbol Club is an association football team that plays in Luquillo. They currently play in the Puerto Rico Soccer League. History On December 4, 2015; Ballista FC was already moving to meet all the requirements to be admitted as a club and league franchisee of the Puerto Rico Soccer League. They planned to establish an academy, tentatively in the municipality of Rio Grande, where children of poor resources of the municipality can participate for free.
