2016 MFF Charity Cup
The 2016 MFF Charity Cup is the 5th MFF Charity Cup, an annual Myanmar football match played between the winners of the previous season's Myanmar National League and 2015 General Aung San Shield. The match was contested by Ayeyawady United F.C., Ayeyawady United, the 2015 General Aung San Shield winners, and Yangon United F.C., Yangon United, champions of the 2015 Myanmar National League. It is held at Aung San Stadium on 3 January 2016. This was Yangon United F.C., Yangon United's 3rd Cup appearance and Ayeyawady United F.C., Ayeyawady United's 3rd. Background and pre-match Yangon United F.C., Yangon United qualified for the MFF Charity Cup, 2016 MFF Charity Cup as winners of the 2015 Myanmar National League. It was the club's fourth league title in 6 years. Ayeyarwady Region ( my, ဧရာဝတီတိုင်းဒေသကြီး , , ; formerly Ayeyarwady Division and Irrawaddy Division), is a region of Myanmar, occupying the delta region of the Ayeyarwady River (Irrawaddy River). Bogyoke Aung San Stadium
The Bogyoke Aung San Stadium () is a multi-purpose stadium, located in downtown Yangon, Myanmar. It was built as an athletic ground in 1906, which was completed in 1909 and named as Burma Athletic Association Ground, where many sports were held such as cricket, football and tennis. The runway was constructed in 1935. Overview Renovated and renamed after Aung San in 1953, the 40,000 seat stadium is still the largest stadium in Myanmar and was the national stadium until the mid-1980s. Aung Kyaw Naing (; born 20 December 1994) is a Burmese professional footballer. He currently plays for Bhutan Premier League club Druk Lhayul. Club career Aung started his career with Nay Pyi Taw FC. Christopher Chizoba (born 17 June 1991) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a striker. Career Through his career Chizoba has played at various clubs around Kolkata and once in North-East India. He started at Kalighat MS before joining Mohammedan.
