The 2016 Kansas State Wildcats baseball team represents Kansas State University during the 2016 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Wildcats will their home games at Tointon Family Stadium as a member of the Big 12 Conference. They are led by head coach Brad Hill, in his 13th season at Kansas State. Previous season The 2015 Kansas State Wildcats baseball team notched a 27–30 (10–14) record and finished sixth in the Big 12 Conference standings. Brad Hill (baseball Coach)
Brad L. Hill (born May 2, 1962) is an American baseball coach and former player, who is the head baseball coach of the Emporia State Hornets. He played college baseball at Emporia State from 1982 to 1985. He then served as the head coach of the Hutchinson Blue Dragons (1988–1990), Central Missouri State Mules (1995–2003) and the Kansas State Wildcats (2004–2018). Under him, the Wildcats have appeared in six consecutive Big 12 baseball tournaments (2007–2012). His teams have also qualified for three NCAA Division I Baseball Championships. Hill was the coach at Central Missouri from 1995 to 2003. He won a Division II National Championship there in 2003, and was National Runner-up in 2001. Playing career Hill played collegiately at Emporia State University. He capped off his four-year career by helping Emporia State to the 1984 NAIA College World Series. Riverside Sports Complex
The Riverside Sports Complex, in Riverside, California, is the home field of the University of California, Riverside baseball team. The stadium seats 2,500 and features a home team locker room built personally by Troy Percival, a UC Riverside alumnus. A statue of the UCR Bear in concrete just inside the entrance to the facility, was erected in 2007. The stadium also has a pair of hitting cages located underneath the grandstands. History The stadium is primarily used for baseball and was the home of Riverside Pilots before they moved to Lancaster to become the Lancaster JetHawks in 1996. It was also the home of the Riverside Red Wave from 1988 to 1990. The stadium was the site of the Division II College World Series from 1980 to 1984. Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park, nicknamed "The Law", is the home stadium of the Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team in Lubbock, Texas. It is located on the Texas Tech University campus, adjacent to Jones AT&T Stadium and Fuller Track. Dan Law Field was rated as one of the top three places to watch a college baseball game by ''Sports Illustrated On Campus''. Surprise is a city in Maricopa County, in the U.S. state of Arizona. The population was 143,148 at the 2020 census, up from 117,517 in 2010 and just 30,848 in 2000.
