President Of Hungary
The president of Hungary, officially the president of the republicUnder the Basic Law, adopted in 2011, the official name of the state is simply Hungary; Before, the state was called the Republic of Hungary. However, the office is nonetheless referred to as the ''president of the republic'' even under the Basic Law, though in a sense of "the president of the republic who presides over Hungary", rather than "the president who presides over the Republic of Hungary". ( hu, Magyarország köztársasági elnöke, ''államelnök'', or ''államfő''), is the head of state of Hungary. The office has a largely ceremonial (figurehead) role, but may also veto legislation or send legislation to the Constitutional Court for review. István Komáromi
István Komáromi (2 December 1943 – 7 January 2016) was a Hungarian agronomist and politician, who was a Member of Parliament (MP) for Kunszentmiklós (Bács-Kiskun County Constituency IV) between 1994 and 1998. Biography He was born into a wealthy Calvinist merchant family in Kolozsvár, then part of the Kingdom of Hungary (today Cluj-Napoca, Romania). He had also Székely roots on maternal side. After the World War II, when Cluj returned to Romania in accordance with the Paris Peace Treaties, the family moved to Hungary. There his father, László Komáromi was arrested on charges of conspiracy against the state in 1949. István Komáromi finished his elementary and secondary studies in Kunszentmiklós, then studied at the Agricultural Technical Advanced School in Kiskunhalas between 1964 and 1966. Imre Kertész
Imre Kertész (; 9 November 192931 March 2016) was a Hungarian author and recipient of the 2002 Nobel Prize in Literature, "for writing that upholds the fragile experience of the individual against the barbaric arbitrariness of history". He was the first Hungarian to win the Nobel in Literature. His works deal with themes of the Holocaust (he was a survivor of a German concentration camp), dictatorship and personal freedom. Life and work Kertész was born in Budapest, Hungary, on 9 November 1929, the son of Aranka Jakab and László Kertész, a middle-class Jewish couple. After his parents separated when he was around the age of five, Kertész attended a boarding school and, in 1940, he started secondary school where he was put into a special class for Jewish students. During World War II, Kertész was deported in 1944 at the age of 14 with other Hungarian Jews to the Auschwitz concentration camp, and was later sent to Buchenwald. Béla Biszku
Béla Biszku (13 September 1921 – 31 March 2016) was a Hungarian communist politician, who served as Minister of the Interior from 1957 to 1961. He was charged of suspicion of committing war crimes during the suppression of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, becoming the first and to date only former top-official in Hungary who has been prosecuted because of political role in the Hungarian People's Republic, communist era. Early life Béla Biszku was born in Márokpapi, Márok, Bereg County (today Márokpapi, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County) on 13 September 1921 as the son of György Biszku and Etelka Debreczeni, who were farm workers. After finishing six years of elementary studies and four years of state civil school, he came afterwards to the locksmith's apprenticeship for the Wertheim Elevator & Machine Manufacture in 1937. Marianne Krencsey (9 July 1931 – 30 March 2016) was a Hungarian stage, film and television actress. Life and career Born in Rákoscsaba, Krencsey graduated as a theater director, but she was eventually mainly active as an actress thanks to her breakthrough performance in the 1954 Károly Makk's drama film ''Liliomfi''. Also active on stage and on television, in 1966 she married her second husband, moving to the United States and basically retiring from acting. Irén Psota
Irén Psota (28 March 1929 – 25 February 2016) was a Hungarian actress, who received two Kossuth Awards. Life Irén Psota was born on 28 March 1929. She was a Hungarian actress and singer. Her parents were István Psota and Ilona Dávid. She graduated from the Theatre and Film Academy in 1952 and was immediately signed to Madách Theatre after her training where she played until 1980. She was working between 1980-82 at the People's Theatre, and from 1990 to 1982 to the National Theatre became a member. Following that, she returned to Madach Theatre. Legacy During her six decade career, Irén Psota garnered critical acclaim in both classical and modern, native and foreign stage roles, and a wide range of movies and television films and her songs.
