2016 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2016 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament held in Bangladesh from 22 January to 14 February 2016. It was the eleventh edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and the second to be held in Bangladesh, after the 2004 event. The World Cup was contested by the national under-19 teams of sixteen International Cricket Council (ICC) members, and all matches played were held under-19 One Day International (ODI) status. Ten teams qualified automatically for the tournament through their status as ICC full members, while five others qualified by winning regional qualifying events. The final place at the tournament was taken by the winner of the 2015 Under-19 World Cup Qualifier, which was contested by the runners-up at the five regional qualifiers. South Africa National Under-19 Cricket Team
The South African Under-19 cricket team have been playing official Under-19 test matches since 1995. International players to have represented the team include Wayne Parnell, Neil McKenzie, AB de Villiers, Mark Boucher, Makhaya Ntini, Kagiso Rabada, Andile Phehlukwayo and Aiden Markram. They won the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2014 and finished runner-up in both 2002 and 2008. 2015 EAP Under-19 Cricket Trophy
The 2015 EAP Under-19 Cricket Trophy was a cricket tournament held in Blenheim, New Zealand, from 24–28 February 2015. The tournament was the sixth edition of the EAP Under-19 Cricket Trophy, and the first to be held in New Zealand. All matches will be held at Horton Park. The winner of the tournament, Fiji, qualified directly for the 2016 ICC Under-19 World Cup, to be played in Bangladesh. The 2015 ICC Americas Under-19 Championship was an international cricket tournament held in Bermuda, from 5 to 11 July 2015. It was the eighth edition of the ICC Americas Under-19 Championship, and the first held in Bermuda since the inaugural tournament in 2001. Canada won the title for a fifth time, finishing the tournament undefeated to qualify directly for the 2016 Under-19 World Cup.
