2016 Hamilton Tiger-Cats Season
The 2016 Hamilton Tiger-Cats season was the 59th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 67th overall. The Tiger-Cats finished in 2nd place in the East Division and finished with a 7–11 record. The Tiger-Cats qualified for the playoffs for the fourth straight season, including their fourth straight season hosting a playoff game, but lost in the East Semi-Final to the Edmonton Eskimos 24–21. It was the first ever playoff match up between those two teams (not including Grey Cup games) and the third time that a crossover team won a playoff game. Canadian Football League East Division
The East Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League, its counterpart being the West Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the East Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The four teams in the division are the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Montreal Alouettes, and Ottawa Redblacks. Western Ontario Mustangs
The Western Mustangs are the athletic teams that represent Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. The school's athletic program supports 46 varsity teams. Their mascot is a Mustang named J.W. and the school colours are purple and white. The university's varsity teams compete in the Ontario University Athletics conference and the national U Sports organization. Western University offers 21 varsity sports for men and 19 for women which compete in the OUA conference. Mitchell Barnett (Canadian Football)
Mitchell Barnett (born February 23, 1993) is a former professional Canadian football linebacker. He was drafted 59th overall in the 2016 CFL Draft by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and signed with the team on May 27, 2016. After two seasons and 29 games with the Tiger-Cats, he signed as a free agent with the BC Lions on February 13, 2018. He retired from professional football on February 11, 2021. The Missouri Western Griffons are the sports teams of Missouri Western State University located in St. Joseph, Missouri. Felix Faubert-Lussier (born October 14, 1991) is a former professional Canadian football wide receiver who played for three seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL).
