Brandenburg An Der Havel
Brandenburg an der Havel () is a town in Brandenburg, Germany, which served as the capital of the Margraviate of Brandenburg until it was replaced by Berlin in 1417. With a population of 72,040 (as of 2020), it is located on the banks of the Havel, River Havel. The town of Brandenburg provided the name for the medieval Bishopric of Brandenburg, the Margraviate of Brandenburg and the current state of Brandenburg. Stephan Krüger
Stephan Krüger (born 29 November 1988, Rostock) is a German rower. He was part of the German quadruple sculls team at the 2008 Summer Olympics, with René Bertram, Hans Gruhne and Christian Schreiber. The team finished in 6th. In 2009, he won the gold medal in the men's double sculls with Eric Knittel at the 2009 World Championships. In 2011, Krüger and Gruhne won silver in the men's double sculls at the World Championships in Bled. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the men's double sculls with Eric Knittel, finishing in 9th. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, he competed in men's double sculls with teammate Marcel Hacker. They finished in 8th place. Hacker and Krüger had won silver in the event at the 2016 European Championships on home water in Brandenburg, after winning the event at the 2015 European Championships. George Nash (rower)
George Christopher Nash (born 2 October 1989) is a British rower. He is dual Olympian, dual Olympic medal winner and three time world champion. Education Nash attended Lanesborough School in Guildford and Winchester College, where he was Vice-Captain of the Boat Club. He then studied Engineering at St. Catharine's College, Cambridge, where he was a member of the Cambridge University Boat Club. Nash initially rowed in the Cambridge reserve boat, Goldie, in 2009. He rowed in Cambridge's Blue Boat in the 2010 and 2011 Boat Races, winning in 2010 and losing in 2011. He took the 2011–2012 year off from Cambridge in order to focus on the 2012 Summer Olympics. Upon his return to Cambridge for the 2012–2013 year, Nash was elected as President of the Cambridge University Boat Club. He sat in the 5-seat of the losing crew of the 2013 race. Mohamed Karim Sbihi (born 27 March 1988) is a British rower. He is a three-time Olympian and Olympic medal winner. He won a gold medal in the coxless four at 2016 Rio Olympics, and at the 2012 London Olympics he was in the British crew that won the bronze medal in the men's eight. He returned to the eight for the 2020 Tokyo games, again winning bronze. Early life Sbihi was born in Kingston upon Thames to a British mother and a Moroccan father.
