Individual Danish Individual Speedway Championship, Individual Championship The 2016 Danish Individual Speedway Championship was the 2016 edition of the Danish Individual Speedway Championship. The final was staged over a single round, at Holsted. For the fifth year in a row, the title was won by Niels Kristian Iversen, who beat Kenneth Bjerre, Nicki Pedersen and Nicolai Klindt. It was the first time the title had been won by the same rider for five successive years since 1971, when Ole Olsen managed the feat. Each rider competed in five rides, with the four top scorers racing in an additional heat. The points from the additional heat were then added to the previous score from the five riders. The winner was the rider who accumulated the most points in all of their rides, and not the rider who won the additional heat. Individual Individual Championship The 2015 Danish Individual Speedway Championship was the 2015 edition of the Danish Individual Speedway Championship. The final was staged over a single round, at Slangerup and was won by Niels Kristian Iversen. It was the fourth time Iversen had won the national title, having also been victorious in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Each rider competed in five rides, with the four top scorers racing in an additional heat. The points from the additional heat were then added to the previous score from the five riders. The winner was the rider who accumulated the most points in all of their rides, and not the rider who won the additional heat. Final U21 Championship Mikkel Michelsen won the U21 Championship for the second time. The final was held at Brovst on the 5 September. Ulrich Østergaard
Ulrich Reinhold Østergaard (born 19 April 1981 in Odense, Denmark) is a Danish former speedway rider. Career Østergaard initially came to the United Kingdom for a trial with the Trelawny Tigers in 2002 and impressed the management as they offered a contract immediately. However the BSPA did not ratify the deal due to the complex points limit in operation that season. Østergaard was eventually signed by the Eastbourne Eagles to ride in the ill-fated British League Cup during 2003. The 2004 season saw Østergaard gain his first full-time UK ride with the Isle of Wight Islanders, where he stayed for two seasons, doubling up with the Eastbourne Eagles in the Elite League. In 2006 he was signed by the Peterborough Panthers, winning the Elite League title. 2007 saw Østergaard step down a division to ride for the Birmingham Brummies, but after falling out with the management he signed for the Workington Comets. Kasper Andersen (speedway Rider)
Kasper Andersen (born 22 August 1998) is a Danish Motorcycle speedway, speedway rider who currently rides in Denmark for Fjelsted. Career He rode in the top tier of British Speedway, riding for the King's Lynn Stars in the SGB Premiership 2019. He was unable to race for the Redcar Bears in the SGB Championship 2021 following difficulties over a permit. In a twist of fate however, Andersen was drafted in as a replacement for Fernando Garcia (speedway rider), Coty Garcia at Berwick Bandits, who was stranded in his homeland Argentina since the start of the season due to travel restrictions. In August 2021, Kasper then signed for SGB Premiership team Kings Lynn Stars. In 2022, he rode for the Redcar Bears in the SGB Championship 2022. References
