2016 Channel One Cup
The 2016 Channel One Cup was played between 15–18 December 2016. The Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden and Russia played a round-robin for a total of three games per team and six games in total. Five of the matches were played in the VTB Ice Palace in Moscow, Russia, and one match in the Helsingin jäähalli in Helsinki, Finland. The tournament was part of 2016–17 Euro Hockey Tour. The 2015 Channel One Cup was played between 17–20 December 2015. The Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden and Russia played a round-robin for a total of three games per team and six games in total. Joni Ortio (born April 16, 1991) is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender who is currently playing for HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Pavel Francouz (; born 3 June 1990) is a Czech professional ice hockey goaltender for the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL). Patrick Andreas Thuresson (born November 18, 1987) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player currently playing with Kölner Haie of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Oskar Lindblom (born 15 August 1996) is a Swedish professional ice hockey forward for the San Jose Barracuda of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL).
