The 2016 California Vulcans football team represented California University of Pennsylvania Pennsylvania Western University, California (commonly known as PennWest California) is a public university campus in California, Pennsylvania and one of three campuses of Pennsylvania Western University, part of the Pennsylvania State System o ... during the 2016 NCAA Division II football season. The Vulcans recorded an 11–1 record overall and a 7–0 mark in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) games. The Vulcans were PSAC West and league champions and made it to the Third Round of the NCAA Division II football championship. Gary Dunn (American Football Coach)
Gary Dunn is an American football coach. He is the head football coach at California University of Pennsylvania. In his first season as head coach, in 2016, he led the California Vulcans to a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship and a birth in the NCAA Division II Football Championship. Coaching career While at Morehead State, Dunn served as the offensive coordinator for 11 seasons after spending two seasons as the offensive line and tight ends coach. Clarion is a borough in and the county seat of Clarion County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located north-northeast of Pittsburgh and is part of the Pittsburgh DMA. Clarion was settled in 1839 and incorporated in 1841. In the past, the surrounding area produced natural gas, oil, lumber and coal.
