2016 CS Tallinn Trophy
The 2016 CS Tallinn Trophy was a senior international figure skating competition, held in November 2016 at the Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn, Estonia. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four ( men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15. The ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating is a separate competition series in the discipline of synchronized skating. History The ISU Council decided to create the series at its February 2014 meeting. Eleven competitions were selected in June 2014. The Triglav Trophy dropped out by October 10, 2014, resulting in a series composed of ten events. Single Skating
Single skating is a discipline of figure skating in which male and female skaters compete individually. Men's singles and women's singles are governed by the International Skating Union (ISU). Figure skating is the oldest winter sport contested at the Olympics, with men's and women's single skating appearing as two of the four figure skating events at the London Games in 1908. Single skaters are required to perform two segments in all international competitions, the short program and the free skating program. Yakau Zenko
Yakau Zenko ( be, Якаў Аляксандравіч Зянько; born 21 July 2000) is a Belarusian retired figure skater. He competed in the final segment at the 2016 World Junior Championships. Career Zenko began learning to skate in 2004. Early in his career, he trained under Julia Soldatova at Moskvich in Moscow. By the 2015–2016 season, he had joined Eteri Tutberidze and Sergei Dudakov at Sambo 70 (Moscow). Making his ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) debut, he placed 16th in Austria and 8th in Poland, both held in September 2015. A few months later, he became the Belarusian national senior bronze medalist and junior champion. In March 2016, he qualified to the final segment at the World Junior Championships in Debrecen, Hungary; he ranked 22nd in the short program, 15th in the free skate, and 17th overall. Anastasia Galyeta (born 10 November 1992) is a competitive ice dancer who represents Azerbaijan with Avidan Brown. Competing for Ukraine with Oleksii Shumskyi, she won four medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series and placed as high as 8th at the World Junior Championships. Career Early in her career, Galyeta competed with Semen Kaplun for Ukraine. Galyeta teamed up with Oleksii Shumskyi in November 2008. They placed 8th at the 2010 World Junior Championships.
