2016 Atlantic Championship Season
The 2016 Atlantic Championship Series season was the fourth season of the revived Atlantic Championship. The series was organised by Formula Race Promotions under the sanctioning of SCCA Pro Racing. American Ryan Norman won the championship winning eight of the fourteen races. Keith Grant had eight second-place finishes but only a single win and finished second in the championship. His brother David joined the series after four races, but captured five wins in the last ten races and finished third in points. American Bob Corliss won a tight battle over Bruce Hamilton to win the title of the Atlantic Challenge class for older cars. Norman was granted a Road to Indy Shootout seat for a USF2000 drive in 2017, but after the Road to Indy Chris Griffis Memorial Test, was signed to Andretti Autosport to race in Indy Lights. Ryan Norman
Ryan Norman (born March 19, 1998 in Aurora, Ohio) is an American racing driver. Norman is a former motocross rider and is currently competing in the Michelin Pilot Challenge, driving for Bryan Herta Autosport and won the 2020 IMSA TCR Championship for the team. He formerly drove for Andretti Autosport in Indy Lights with multiple wins and podiums, and ran a race in the IndyCar Series in 2021 with Dale Coyne Racing. Career Norman started in motocross when he obtained an AMA at the age of twelve. When turning sixteen Norman's father invited Ryan for a three-day course at the Skip Barber Racing School. Norman joined the Skip Barber Winter Series for the first two rounds of the championship. In November 2015 the Ohio native finished seventh in his debut race, at Road Atlanta. With driving coach Franklin Futrelle Norman joined the SCCA Formula Enterprises class in 2015. Watkins Glen, New York
Watkins Glen is a village and census-designated place in and the county seat of Schuyler County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,829. Watkins Glen lies within the towns of Dix and Reading. Chris Ash (born December 24, 1973) is an American football coach who is the defensive backs coach for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the safeties coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021. Richard Zober
Richard "Rich" Zober (born 22 February 1966) is a racing driver who competed in various formula racing series. Racing career Zober started auto racing in 1995 in the SCCA Formula Continental class. The American driver finished eighteenth in the SCCA National Championship Runoffs. He made his debut in the USF2000 championship in 2000. He competed in four races at Road America and Watkins Glen International. He competed in the American Continental Class for older F2000 cars. Zober scored a total of 23 points which placed him ninth in the championship. He returned the following season for two races at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Palm Beach is an incorporated town in Palm Beach County, Florida. Located on a barrier island in east-central Palm Beach County, the town is separated from several nearby cities including West Palm Beach and Lake Worth Beach by the Intracoastal Waterway to its west, though Palm Beach borders a small section of the latter and South Palm Beach at its southern boundaries. Wampum is a borough in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. The population was 557 at the 2020 census. It is part of the New Castle micropolitan area. Pittsburgh International Race Complex (commonly known as Pitt Race) is an auto racing road course located in Wampum, Pennsylvania. Pitt Race hosts amateur and professional automobile, motorcycle, and karting events. The track Pittsburgh International Race Complex offers three track configurations. Lexington is a village along the Clear Fork River in Troy Township and Washington Township in Richland County in the U.S. state of Ohio.
