2016 1. Divisjon
The 2016 1. divisjon (referred to as OBOS-ligaen for sponsorship reasons) was a Norwegian second-tier football league season. The league was contested by 16 teams, and the top two teams were promoted to Tippeligaen, while the teams placed from third to sixth place played a promotion-playoff against the 14th-placed team in Tippeligaen to win promotion. The bottom four teams were be relegated to the 2. divisjon. The first round of the season was played on 9 April 2016 and the season concluded with the last round on 30 October 2016. The playoff-tournament was played between 6 and 21 November 2016. Team changes from 2015 In the 2015 1. divisjon, Sogndal, and Brann won promotion to Tippeligaen, while Follo, Nest-Sotra, Bærum and Hønefoss were relegated to the 2016 2. divisjon. FK Jerv
Fotballklubben Jerv is a Norwegian football club from Grimstad. ''Jerv'' is the Norwegian name for wolverine. They currently play in the Eliteserien. History The club was founded in 1921, as Vestergatens FK, named after the street in which the foundation took place, but later changed name to Djerv and then Jerv. In the 1970s and 1980s the team had a number of foreign coaches, including Bo Johansson who managed the team in 1984 and 1985 and went on to coach several clubs and national teams. In November 2007 Jerv signed another well-known ex-footballer Tore André Dahlum as coach. In 2021, Jerv were promoted to the top division, Eliteserien, for the first time in their history. They were promoted through the play-offs, where they beat Brann in the final. The score was 4–4 after extra time, but Jerv won 8–7 on penalties. 2015 Tippeligaen
The 2015 Tippeligaen was the 71st completed season of top-tier football in Norway. The competition began on 6 April 2015, one week later than in the previous season. A short summer-break in June was scheduled between the rounds played on 12 July and 26 July, and the decisive match was played on 8 November 2015. Molde were the defending champions. Sandefjord, Tromsø and Mjøndalen joined as the promoted clubs from the 2014 1. divisjon. They replaced Brann, Sogndal and Sandnes Ulf who were relegated to the 2015 1. divisjon. Mjøndalen IF is a Norwegian sports club located in Mjøndalen, Viken, Norway. Of the different athletic endeavours that the club supports, it may be best known in Norway for its bandy national championship teams and internationally for its association football national championship teams that have competed in UEFA championships. Hønefoss BK
Hønefoss Ballklubb is a Norwegian football club from Hønefoss, founded in 1895. The club was a part of the multi-sports club L/F Hønefoss, which folded in 2008. After 11 years in 1. divisjon, the second tier of Norwegian football, Hønefoss was promoted to Tippeligaen in 2009, where they finished 14th in 2010 Tippeligaen and was relegated after a relegation-playoff against Fredrikstad. In 2011, Hønefoss won the 1. divisjon and was promoted to the Tippeligaen for the second time in three years. Bærum Sportsklubb is a Norwegian association football club founded on 26 March 1910. The men's team is currently playing in the Norwegian Second Division, after being relegated from the 1. divisjon in 2015. The club comes from Sandvika, the administrative centre of the municipality Bærum. The club was formed as ''Grane FK'', but quickly changed its name to ''Grane SK'' to include different sporting codes. Nest-Sotra Fotball is a Norwegian association football club from Sotra, Hordaland. In 2020, their elite license was taken over by the new club Øygarden FK, which is a cooperation between Øygarden clubs Nordre Fjell, Sund SK, Skogsvåg IL, Telavåg IL, Skjergard IL and Nest-Sotra.
