The 2015–16 season was Wigan Athletic's 84th year in existence and their first back in League One, since the 2002–03 season, after being relegated the previous season. Wigan ( ) is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, on the River Douglas. The town is midway between the two cities of Manchester, to the south-east, and Liverpool, to the south-west. Bolton lies to the north-east and Warrington to the south. It is the largest settlement in the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan and is its administrative centre. The town has a population of 107,732 and the wider borough of 330,713. Wigan was formerly within the historic county of Lancashire. Lee Anthony Nicholls (born 5 October 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for EFL Championship club Huddersfield Town. Early life Lee Nicholls was born in Huyton, Merseyside. Club career Wigan Athletic Nicholls signed scholarship forms with Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2009. After a series of impressive performances for the reserve team, he appeared for the first-team as a substitute for the first time on 2 January 2010 in a 4–1 FA Cup third round victory over Hull City. Craig Morgan (footballer)
Craig Morgan (born 16 June 1985 in Flint) is a Welsh international footballer who plays as a central defender. After beginning his career with spells at Wrexham, where he helped win the Football League Trophy in 2005, and Milton Keynes Dons, he joined Peterborough United in January 2007 after a short loan spell, helping the club reach the Football League Championship by winning consecutive promotions in the 2007–08 and 2008–09 seasons. Donervon Joseph Daniels (born 24 November 1993) is a Montserratian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Walsall. Bolton (, locally ) is a large town in Greater Manchester in North West England, formerly a part of Lancashire. Andrew Paul Kellett (born 10 November 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Bury. Reece James (born 7 November 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays for Sheffield Wednesday on loan from Blackpool. His usual position is as a left-back, but also occasionally plays in midfield.
