2015–16 Ukrainian Cup
The 2015–16 Ukrainian Cup was the 25th annual season of Ukraine's football knockout competition. The schedule of games for clubs from the First and Second League was confirmed on 3 July 2015 at a session of the Central Council of the Professional Football League of Ukraine. FC Shakhtar Donetsk
Football Club Shakhtar Donetsk ( uk, Футбольний клуб «Шахтар» Донецьк , short nickname "miners") is a Ukrainian professional football club from the city of Donetsk. In 2014, due to the War in Donbass, the club was forced to move to Lviv, and had played matches in Lviv (2014–2016) and in Kharkiv (2017–2020) whilst having its office headquarters and training facilities in Kyiv. In May 2020, Shakhtar started to play home matches at NSC Olimpiyskiy in Kyiv. Shakhtar has appeared in several European competitions and is often a participant in the UEFA Champions League. The club became the first club in independent Ukraine to win the UEFA Cup in 2009, the last year before the competition was revamped as the Europa League. 2014–15 Ukrainian Second League
The 2014–15 Ukrainian Second League was the 24th season of 3rd level professional football in Ukraine. The competition commenced 25 July 2014 when Arsenal-Kyivshchyna Bila Tserkva hosted Shakhtar-3 Donetsk in Bila Tserkva. The competition resumed from the winter break with the postponed Round 16 match between Skala Stryi and NPHU-Makiyivvuhillya Nikopol on 21 March 2015. Competition format Ten teams are competing in three stages of round-robin tournament. All teams will play each other in regular format with the first 16 rounds are scheduled for the fall of 2014, while the rest two are planned for the spring of 2015. Penalty Shootout (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Balls successfully kicked into the goal during a shoot-out do not count as goals for the individual kickers or the team, and are tallied separately from the goals scored during normal play (including extra time, if any). FC Real Pharma Odesa is a professional Ukrainian football club from the city of Odesa. The "Pharma" portion of the name comes from ''pharmaceutical'' influences that are associated with the club's ownership as evident on the original logo which is in English rather than Ukrainian. Football Club Kremin Kremenchuk ( uk , ФК Кремінь Кременчук; ru , Кремень Кременчуг, translit=Kremen Kremenchug) is a professional football club based in Kremenchuk, Ukraine. The current club is administered by the city of Kremenchuk and was established in 2003, but it traces its heritage to the previously existing clubs of 1959–1970 and 1985–2001. Narodnyy Klub Veres Rivne ( uk, РНК «Верес») is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Rivne. Boryspil ( uk, Бориспіль, translit. ''Boryspil'') is a city and the administrative center of Boryspil Raion in Kyiv Oblast (region) in northern (central) Ukraine. Football Club Arsenal Kyiv () is a Ukrainian football club based in Kyiv. In 2019, the club's professional team was dissolved, but its junior teams continue to compete in city competitions.
