2015–16 Houston Baptist Huskies Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Houston Baptist Huskies men's basketball team represented Houston Baptist University in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This season was head coach Ron Cottrell's twenty-fifth season at HBU. The Huskies played their home games at the Sharp Gymnasium. They were members of the Southland Conference. They finished the season 17–17, 10–8 in Southland play to finish in fifth place. They defeated Southeastern Louisiana to advance to the semifinals of the Southland tournament where they lost to Stephen F. Austin. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where they lost in the first round to UNC Greensboro. Tic Price
George "Tic" Price (born November 29, 1955) is an American college basketball coach. He last coached the Lamar Cardinals men's basketball team. From 2002 to 2007, he served as head coach at McNeese State. Prior to that, he served as head coach of Memphis and New Orleans. Price’s daughter is Sports Illustrated model Chanel Iman, who married NFL wide receiver Sterling Shepard in 2017. He is married to the former Jamie Lynn Simms, and the couple has two children - son, Ryan, a college basketball coach who played for his father at McNeese, and daughter, Chanel. He has three grandaughters - Bella Grace Price, Cali Clay Shepard and Cassie Snow Shepard. Trinity Tigers
The Trinity Tigers is the nickname for the sports teams of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. They participate in the NCAA's Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). The school mascot is LeeRoy, a Bengal tiger. In the 1950s, LeeRoy was an actual tiger who was brought to sporting events, but today LeeRoy is portrayed by a student wearing a tiger suit. Early in its history, the school participated in Division I/ II athletics, but by 1991 the entire program made the move to Division III, at which time it joined the SCAC. Ken Burmeister
Ken Burmeister (June 3, 1947 – May 19, 2020) was an American college basketball coach. He was the head coach of the University of the Incarnate Word for 12 seasons from 2006 until 2018. Burmeister graduated from St. Mary's University, Texas, and served on the staff of Lute Olson at Iowa and Arizona from 1979 to 1986. Burmeister coached at University of Texas at San Antonio from 1986 to 1990 and led the team to its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 1988, where they lost to Illinois. He served as an assistant coach at DePaul before taking over at Loyola (IL) in 1994. He posted a 40–71 record at Loyola and oversaw the team's move to Joseph J. Gentile Arena in 1996. The Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball team represents the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas in NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. The Grand Canyon Antelopes men's basketball team represents Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. Russell Edwin Pennell (born November 28, 1960) is an American basketball coach, who was last the head coach for the University of Central Arkansas. Pennell was born in Pittsburg, Kansas and graduated from Pittsburg High School. He played college basketball at the University of Arkansas and at the University of Central Arkansas, where he was two-year starter at point guard. Pennell later received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Pittsburg State University. Joe Golding (basketball)
Joseph Charles Golding (born October 15, 1975) is an American basketball coach and former player. He is currently the head men's basketball coach at The University of Texas at El Paso, having previously served in the same capacity at Abilene Christian University, where he played point guard from 1994 to 1998. Early Years Golding grew up in Midland, Texas before relocating with his family as a teenager to Wichita Falls, Texas, where he graduated from Wichita Falls High School. The 2015–16 Abilene Christian Wildcats men's basketball team represented Abilene Christian University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.
