2015–16 Real Sociedad Season
The 2015–16 season was Real Sociedad's 69th season in La Liga. Season summary On 29 June, it was announced that Mediapro had been ordered by the Supreme Court of Spain to pay Real Sociedad €10 million. The Supreme Court considered that the broadcasting company had committed serious, repeated infringements in breach of their contractual agreement with Real Sociedad. On 9 November, it was announced that David Moyes' contract had been rescinded following a poor start to the season. Real Sociedad
Real Sociedad de Fútbol, S.A.D., more commonly referred to as Real Sociedad (; ''Royal Society''), La Real in Spanish, Erreala in Basque, is a Spanish professional sports club in the city of San Sebastián, Basque Country, founded on 7 September 1909. It plays its home matches at the Anoeta Stadium. Real Sociedad won the Liga title in 1980–81 and 1981–82, and finished runner-up in 1979–80, 1987–88, and 2002–03. Markel Bergara Larrañaga (born 5 May 1986) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He spent the better part of his career with Real Sociedad, appearing in 212 competitive matches and scoring four goals. In La Liga, he also represented Getafe. Club career Real Sociedad Bergara was born in Elgoibar, Gipuzkoa. A Real Sociedad youth graduate, he started his professional career on loan, having season-long spells in the Segunda División with SD Eibar and UD Vecindario, both ended in relegation. David Zurutuza
David Zurutuza Veillet (born 19 July 1986) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a central midfielder. He spent his entire professional career contracted to Real Sociedad, with whom he made 303 competitive appearances over 12 seasons, and was also loaned to Eibar in the Segunda División. Early years Zurutuza was born in Rochefort, Charente-Maritime, France, to a French mother and a Spanish father; the family returned to the latter's native Basque Country shortly after. He held both Spanish and French nationalities. Club career Zurutuza joined Real Sociedad's youth system after starting his football career in Deba, Gipuzkoa. Sergio Canales
Sergio Canales Madrazo (; born 16 February 1991) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for La Liga club Real Betis and the Spain national team. After starting out at Racing de Santander, he signed as a 19-year-old with Real Madrid for €4.5 million, but failed to reproduce his form at the latter club and left after only one season. Ion Ansotegi Gorostola (born 13 July 1982) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a central defender. He spent most of his professional career with Real Sociedad after signing with the club at the age of 21, going on to appear in 227 official matches during 11 seasons. 124 of those appearances came in La Liga (six goals scored). Rubén Pardo Gutiérrez (born 22 October 1992) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for CD Leganés as a central midfielder. He spent the vast majority of his career at Real Sociedad, making 194 official appearances and also being loaned to Betis. In January 2020, he signed with Bordeaux. Granada Club de Fútbol, S.A.D.
