2015–16 PlusLiga
The 2015–16 PlusLiga was the 80th season of the Polish Volleyball Championship, the 16th season as a professional league organized by the Professional Volleyball League SA ( pl, Profesjonalna Liga Piłki Siatkowej SA) under the supervision of the Polish Volleyball Federation ( pl, Polski Związek Piłki Siatkowej). ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle won their 6th title of the Polish Champions, the first title since 2003. PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 16 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship ( pl, Mistrzostwo Polski). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. Jochen Schöps
Jochen Schöps (born 8 October 1983) is a German professional volleyball player, a former member of the Germany national team, a participant at the Olympic Games (Beijing 2008, London 2012), bronze medallist at the 2014 World Championship, and the 2006–07 CEV Champions League winner. Personal life In March 2016, Schöps became a father to twins, daughter Lotte and son Theo. Career Clubs He won the 2006–07 CEV Champions League with VfB Friedrichshafen, and was named the ''Most Valuable Player''. With the Russian team of Iskra Odintsovo he reached the 2008–09 CEV Champions League semifinals and was named the ''Best Scorer'' of the tournament. Dmytro Pashytskyy
Dmytro Pashytskyy ( ua, Дмитро Пашицький; born 29 November 1987) is a Ukrainian professional volleyball player who plays as a middle blocker for ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Personal life Dmitry Pashitsky was born in Kyiv, but spent a significant part of his life in Riga ( Latvia), where he began playing volleyball. Career Club Pashytskyy started his professional volleyball career in Pärnu VK in 2009. For the next season he joined another Estonian team, Selver Tallinn, with which he won the Estonian Championship, Estonian Cup and the Baltic League in 2011. In 2011, Pashytskyy moved to France to join one of the most decorated volleyball clubs in French volleyball history, AS Cannes. Julien Lyneel (born 15 April 1990) is a French former professional volleyball player. He was a member of the France national team from 2011 to 2021. Aleh Akhrem
Aleh Akhrem or Olieg Achrem (born 12 March 1983) is a Belarusian professional volleyball coach and former volleyball player, a former member of the Belarus national team, with which he competed in the 2013 European Championship. He currently serves as an assistant coach for Asseco Resovia. Personal life Aleh was born in Grodno. On 5 January 2011, he received Polish citizenship (he changed his name as a result). Thomas John Jaeschke (born September 4, 1993) is an American professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter for the U.S. national team. He won a bronze medal at the Olympic Games Rio 2016. Personal life He is the son of John and Danielle Jaeschke. Bartosz Kurek
Bartosz Kamil Kurek (born 29 August 1988) is a Polish professional volleyball player. He is a member of the Poland national team, a participant in the Olympic Games (London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020), 2018 World Champion, 2009 European Champion, and the 2012 World League winner.
