2015–16 Illinois State Redbirds Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Illinois State Redbirds men's basketball team represented Illinois State University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Redbirds, led by fourth-year head coach Dan Muller, played their home games at Redbird Arena in Normal, Illinois as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference. They finished the season 18–14, 12–6 in conference play, to finish in a tie for second place. As the number three seed in the MVC tournament, they were defeated by Indiana State in their quarterfinal game. Previous season The Redbirds finished the 2014–15 season 22–13, 11–7 in conference play, to finish in a tie for third place. Dan Muller (basketball)
Daniel Paul Muller (born February 21, 1976) is an American college basketball coach, formerly the men's basketball head coach at his alma mater Illinois State University. Biography Muller was born in Lafayette, Indiana to parents Cliff and Tricia. He attended Lafayette Central Catholic Jr/Sr High School, Lafayette Central Catholic High School, graduating in 1994. After high school, Muller attended Illinois State University. On the Illinois State Redbirds men's basketball team, Muller played as a Forward (basketball), forward from 1994 to 1998 under head coach Kevin Stallings. 2015 National Invitation Tournament
The 2015 National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 32 NCAA Division I teams that were not selected to participate in the 2015 NCAA tournament. The annual tournament is being played on campus sites for the first three rounds, with the Final Four and Championship game being held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The tournament began on Tuesday, March 17 and ended on Thursday, April 2. On February 6, the NCAA announced the 2015 NIT will use a 30-second shot clock (same as its WNIT counterpart) and a 4-foot (1.22 m) restricted-area arc as experimental rules for the 2015 tournament. Minnesota Golden Gophers Men's Basketball
The Minnesota Golden Gophers men's basketball team represents the University of Minnesota in NCAA Division I college basketball competition. The Golden Gophers competes in the Big Ten Conference and play their home games at the Williams Arena. The Gophers had great success in the early years of basketball, but have been largely overshadowed by other programs since the end of World War I. Reginald Joseph Connor Lynch (born November 30, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for Bnei Herzliya of the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
