2015–16 Gabala FC Season
The 2015–16 season was Gabala FK's 11th season, and their 10th in the Azerbaijan Premier League, the top-flight of Azerbaijani football. Domestically, Gabala finished 3rd in the Premier League for the third season in a row and reached the semifinals of the Azerbaijan Cup where they were defeated by Neftchi Baku. In Europe Gabala reached the group stages of the UEFA Europa League where they faced PAOK, Krasnodar and Borussia Dortmund before finishing bottom of the group. Season review In September 2015, Gabala announced a new one-year shirt sponsorship deal with QafqaZ Hotels and Resorts. Transfers The summer transfer window saw a lot of transfer movement from Gabala, with 14 players leaving the club and 9 players arriving. Gabala Football Club ( az, Qəbələ Futbol Klubu ), also spelled Qabala, is an Azerbaijani association football club representing Qabala in the Azerbaijan Premier League since 2006. Gabala has been the runner up in the Premier League three times and has won the national cup once, in 2019. Football Club Atyrau ( kk, "Атырау" футбол клубы, ''"Atyraý" fýtbol klýby'') is a professional association football, football club based in Atyrau, who last played in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest level of Kazakh football. Vojislav Stanković (Serbian Cyrillic: Војислав Станковић; born 22 September 1987) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays for Azerbaijani club Neftçi Baku. Adrian Ropotan (born 8 May 1986) is a Romanian former footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Adrian Ropotan was born in Galați on 8 May 1986, playing his first Divizia A match for Dinamo București on 18 March 2006 in a 2–0 victory against Pandurii Târgu Jiu.
