2015–16 Denver Pioneers Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Denver Pioneers men's basketball team represented the University of Denver during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Pioneers, led by ninth year head coach Joe Scott, played their home games at Magness Arena and were members of The Summit League. They finished the season 16–15, 7–9 in Summit League play to finish in sixth place. They defeated Nebraska–Omaha in the quarterfinals of The Summit League tournament to advance to the semifinals where they lost to South Dakota State. On March 11, head coach Joe Scott was fired. He finished at Denver with a nine year record of 146–132. Joe Scott (basketball Coach)
Joseph Winston Scott (born July 28, 1965) is an American college basketball coach who is currently in his second stint as the head coach at Air Force. Scott previously was head coach at Air Force once before, as well as at Princeton and Denver. Early life and education Growing up on Pelican Island near Toms River, New Jersey, Scott played baseball, basketball and football at Toms River High School East, where he set the school's basketball career scoring record. Scott played at point guard in high school and set a school record for career basketball points with 1,550. As a player in the mid-1980s, Scott learned the " Princeton offense," a methodical system that seeks high-percentage shots by passing until the right opportunity rather than a fast-pace offense with more shots. As a result, Scott has frequently instituted a deliberate pace as a coach, often coaching the slowest-paced team in the country. The 2015–16 Santa Clara Broncos men's basketball team represented Santa Clara University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was head coach Kerry Keating's ninth season at Santa Clara. The Broncos played their home games at the Leavey Center and were members of the West Coast Conference. They finished the season 11–20, 7–11 in WCC play to finish in sixth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the WCC tournament to BYU. On March 7, 2016, head coach Kerry Keating was fired by Santa Clara. Leavey Center
Leavey Center, also known as the Leavey Activities Center or occasionally by its old nickname the Toso Pavilion, is Santa Clara University's indoor basketball arena in Santa Clara, California. It is home to the Santa Clara University Broncos Division I Basketball and Volleyball Teams. It has hosted the West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament ten times. Arena history Leavey Center began life as the Harold J. Toso Pavilion, or Toso Pavilion constructed in 1975. The facility featured an air supported vinyl fabric roof supported by 11 large fans constantly producing a higher air pressure inside the dome than outside, similar to the Pontiac Silverdome or BC Place Stadium. The 2015–16 Milwaukee Panthers men's basketball team represented the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Panthers, led by eleventh year head coach Rob Jeter, played their home games at the UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena and the Klotsche Center and were members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 20–13, 10–8 in Horizon League play to finish in fifth place. They defeated Northern Kentucky in the first round of the Horizon League tournament to advance to the second round where they lost to Green Bay. Daniel Amigo (born September 13, 1995) is a Mexican-American-Argentine professional basketball player for Libertadores de Querétaro of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). He played college basketball for the Denver Pioneers. He plays for the Mexico men's national basketball team. High school career Amigo attended Coronado High School.
