Bangladesh Championship League (BCL) is the second-tier football league of Bangladesh run by the Bangladesh Football Federation. It was founded in 2012. The league is also known as TVS Championship League for sponsorship agreements from 2018–19. Uttar Baridhara Club ( bn, উত্তর বারিধারা ক্লাব) is a Bangladeshi football club, established in 1995, based in Kalachandpur, Baridhara, Dhaka. The club currently competing in Bangladesh Premier League as they became runners-up in 2018–19 Bangladesh Championship League and got promotion. History Journey to the top flight (1995–2013) The Baridhara based team started its journey in 1995 with the help of some enthusiastic locals. Jahangir Alam was named the clubs general secretary. The club were promoted to the second division, now known as the Bangladesh Championship League, in the 2007 season after clinching the third division title. They were unlucky not to be promoted to the top-tier in their first season in the Championship league, where they finished league runners-up. Arambagh Krira Sangha is a Bangladeshi sports club based in Dhaka, that competes in the Dhaka Senior Division Football League, the third-tier of football in Bangladesh. History Arambagh Krira Sangha were formed in Dhaka way back in 1958. Originally established as a football club, Arambagh later added handball, basketball and volleyball in their roster. However, they became the first club from Bangladesh who played in final in an international club tournament during 1981 ANFA Cup, hosted by Nepal. They also finished runners-up twice in the Sikkim Gold Cup. In 1997, the club took part in a football tournament at Agartala that marked the golden jubilee of the independence of India. They used to be a top-five finisher prior to 1990, but failed to continue their form later and during 2012–13 season, the club experienced one of its lowest points when it was relegated from the Bangladesh Football Premier League. Bangladesh Police Football Club (also known as Bangladesh Police Athletic Club) is an association football team based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The club was founded by Bangladesh Police.
