2015–16 American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2015–16 American Athletic Conference men's basketball season took place between November 2015 and March 2016. Practices began in October 2015, with conference play beginning in December, and the season ended with the 2016 American Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, Orlando, FL. The season was the third since 2010–13 Big East Conference realignment, the split of the Big East Conference (1979–2013), original Big East Conference into two separate leagues. Troy Caupain Jr. (born November 29, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for Pallacanestro Brescia of Lega Basket Serie A. He played college basketball for Cincinnati. Damyean Da'Kethe Dotson (born May 6, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for the Gaziantep Basketbol of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). He played college basketball for Oregon and Houston before being selected with the 44th pick of the 2017 NBA draft by the Knicks. College career He played two seasons for the University of Oregon. Shonn Devante Miller (born August 26, 1993) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Meralco Bolts of the East Asia Super League. Fran Dunphy
Francis Joseph Dunphy (born October 5, 1948) is an American college basketball coach, who is the head coach of the La Salle Explorers of the Atlantic 10 Conference. He is the former men's basketball coach at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania. He succeeded John Chaney in 2006 and was succeeded by Aaron McKie in 2019.
