2015 Úrvalsdeild
The 2015 Úrvalsdeild karla, also known as ''Pepsi-deild karla'' for sponsorship reasons, was the 104th season of top-flight Icelandic football. Twelve teams contested the league; the defending champions were Stjarnan, who had won their first ever league title in 2014 going unbeaten in the league. On 26 September FH were crowned champions after a 2–1 win over Fjölnir with one game to spare. This was FH's 7th league title. Keflavík and Leiknir R were relegated from the league. Keflavík had been in the league since 2004 but this was Leiknir R's first ever season in the top flight. The season started on 3 May 2015 and was conclude on 4 October 2015. Heimir Guðjónsson (footballer, Born 1969)
Heimir Guðjónsson (born 3 April 1969) is an Icelandic football manager and a former player. As a player, he was deployed in midfield and represented the Iceland national team. As a manager, he won the Icelandic championship five times with Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar. Playing career Heimir played his first senior game as a member of Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur in 1986. He won the Icelandic championship as a member of FH in 2004 and 2005. Managerial career Heimir was hired as an assistant manager to FH on 21 September 2005. On 10 October 2007, he took over as manager of FH after Ólafur Jóhannesson resigned and won the Icelandic championship in 2008 and 2009. He won the Icelandic Cup in 2010 and the Icelandic championship again in 2012, 2015 and 2016. For his first nine seasons at the helm, FH finished either first or second in the Úrvalsdeild karla. Kaplakrikavöllur
Kaplakriki is a multi-purpose stadium in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar. The stadium holds over 6,000 spectators and has offers 3050 seats. The plan for the stadium development is to expand the seating capacity to over 4,000 seats taking the maximum capacity to over 7,000. Long-term plans though are to make the stadium an all-seater, full square stadium with around 6,000 seats and roofs over the stands. Kaplakriki Stadium is a part of multi-sport complex which besides a state-of-the-art stadium, includes a multi functional sports arena which mainly is used for handball and as a concert venue. Arnór Sveinn Aðalsteinsson
Arnór Sveinn Aðalsteinsson (born 26 January 1986) is an Icelandic football player, currently playing for Icelandic football club Breiðablik. He won the Icelandic championship in 2010 and the Icelandic Cup in 2009 with Breiðablik. Club career Arnór made his debut for Breiðablik in 2004 in 1. deild karla. He was a key member of Breiðablik's 2010 Úrvalsdeild karla championship team. He played for Hønefoss from 2011 to 2013 before returning to Breiðablik in January 2014. Arnar Grétarsson
Arnar Grétarsson (born 20 February 1972 in Reykjavík) is an Icelandic former professional football player and current manager of Valur. Club career Arnar started his career in Breiðablik, where he played for several years until he joined Leiftur in 1997, where he stayed for one year. His next club was AEK Athens FC, where he stayed for three years. After his contract expired in 2000, Arnar signed for Belgian club K.S.C. Lokeren, where he played until 2006, when he moved back to his homeland to play for Breiðablik again. International career Arnar made his debut for Iceland in the famous 5–1 shock defeat of Turkey in a September 1991 friendly match. He has been capped 71 times for Iceland, scoring two goals. Kópavogsvöllur
Kópavogsvöllur () is a multi-use stadium in Kópavogur, Iceland. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home stadium of Breiðablik UBK, Breiðablik. It is also used for track and field events. The stadium holds 3,009 spectators and has 1,709 seats in two stands. The stadium was opened on 7 June 1975, when home team Breiðablik hosted Víkingur Ólafsvík in the old 2nd division. On 9 May 2008, a new stand was opened by Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, Iceland's Minister of Education, Science and Culture (Iceland), Minister of Education, Science and Culture. Íþróttafélagið Þór, commonly known as Þór Akureyri, simply Þór or Thór, is a multi-sport club in Akureyri, Iceland. It features departments in Basketball, football, Handball and Taekwondo. ''Knattspyrnufélagið Fram'' (''Fram Football Club'') is an Icelandic sports club, best known for its football and handball teams. It was founded on 1 May 1908 in Reykjavík. It was based at Safamýri, in the Háaleiti og Bústaðir district near Reykjavík city centre before slowly moving operations to the newly established Grafarholt district. Hafnarfjörður (), officially Hafnarfjarðarkaupstaður (), is a port town and municipality in Iceland, located about south of Reykjavík. The municipality consists of two non-contiguous areas in the Capital Region, on the southwest coast of the country. Garðabær () is a municipality in the Capital Region of Iceland. History Garðabær is a growing town in the Capital Region. It is the sixth largest town in Iceland with a population of 13,872 (Sept 1, 2013). The site of Garðabær has been inhabited since Iceland was first settled in the 9th century. Landnámabók, the Book of Settlement, tells of two farms on the site of Garðabær: Vífilsstaðir and Skúlastaðir.
