Lydden Hill - Rallycross
''Lydden is also the name of a hamlet in the Manston, Kent civil parish'' Lydden is a civil parish and small village in the Dover district of Kent, England. The Lydden Race Circuit is located between here and Wootton to the west of the village. Lydden village consists of a triangle of 3 roads: Canterbury Road (part of the old A2 running between Dover, Canterbury and London), Stonehall and Church Lane. Lydden is set in a steep sided valley landscape, with grazing pasture and pockets of woodland along the valley side facing north west, and the extensive Lydden and Temple Ewell Downs National Nature Reserve facing south west. The NNR is famous for its chalk grassland habitat and species including the adonis blue butterfly. Amenities There were two pubs in Lydden, The Lydden Bell (pictured on the right) and The Hope Inn. Guy Wilks
Guy Wilks (born 22 January 1981) is a British rally driver. Wilks started rallying at the age of 19, but currently drives for JRM in the FIA World Rallycross Championship. In 2011 Wilks drove for Peugeot UK in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. In 2012 he did not compete. Career Wilks who was born in Bishop Auckland, County Durham became Ford Ka Junior Champion in 2000 in his first year in the sport, graduating within the Ford 'Ladder of Opportunity' scheme to the Puma 1400 series for 2001. He finished second in the championship. He won the 2019 FIA World Rallycross Championship in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, driving for Team Peugeot-Hansen. Hansen Motorsport (officially ''Kenneth Hansen Motorsport AB''), which competed under the title Team Peugeot-Hansen as Peugeot's official partner in the motorsport of rallycross, is an auto racing team founded by Swedish racing driver Kenneth Hansen in 1990. He is the winner of the Super1600 division in the European Rallycross Championship in 2013 and is the youngest event winner in FIA World Rallycross Championship history.
