United States Swimming National Championships
The United States Swimming National Championships (a.k.a. "Nationals") are held annually, in summer. The event is organized by USA Swimming, and is held in a long course (50m) pool. In the past, and as recently as 2007, there were 2 meets annually: and Spring and Summer Nationals. The Spring meet began as a 25-yard (short course) meet, while the Summer meet was long course. Prior to USA Swimming's creation in the late 1970s, the meet was run by the AAU. Phillips 66 began sponsoring the meet in 1973, which continues through today although the branding of the sponsorship changed to ConocoPhillips in the early 2000s. This is one of the longest sponsorships in U.S. sports. David Nolan (born December 5, 1992) is an American swimming (sport), swimmer and partner at Commit Analytics. He won two gold medals at the 2009 Jr. Pan Pacific Championships in the 200 IM and 400 medley relay. Nolan swam at and graduated from Stanford University. He set the National High School record for the 200y IM. Early life Nolan was born in Hershey Pennsylvania to parents Theresa and James Nolan. William Andrew Licon ( ; born August 25, 1994) is an American competitive swimmer who specializes in breaststroke and medley events. He currently competes for the professional team LA Current in the International Swimming League. Licon is a three-time World Championship medalist, a two-time Pan American Games gold medalist and has been a member of the United States national team since 2015. He is the current American record-holder in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:47.91. Andrew Wilson (born September 16, 1993) is a retired American swimmer.
