Lauren Ellis (cyclist)
Lauren Ellis (born 19 April 1989) is a New Zealand former road and track cyclist. Career Ellis rode the team pursuit at the 2008–09 UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics in Beijing with Kaytee Boyd and Alison Shanks, in a time of 3:28.044, becoming the fastest qualifiers. They went on to take the gold medal in a time of 3:24.421, setting the second fastest time in the world behind the 3:22.425 world record set by Great Britain at Manchester in 2008. In 2009, she won a silver medal in the Team Pursuit World Championships with Jaime Nielsen and Alison Shanks. Ellis won a silver medal in the women's points race at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and the 2010 World Championships. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she rode the Women's team pursuit. Stephanie Gaumnitz (née Pohl; born 21 October 1987) is a German retired racing cyclist. She rode at the 2014 UCI Road World Championships. Charlotte Becker (born 19 May 1983 in Datteln, North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team . Ruth Joyce Winder (born July 9, 1993) is a British-born American professional cyclist. She took up the sport as a teenager, and went on to turn professional with in 2014. In July 2021 Winder announced that she would retire from professional competition at the end of the season.
