2015 UCF Knights Baseball Team
The 2015 UCF Knights baseball team represents the University of Central Florida during the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Knights play their home games at Jay Bergman Field as a member of the American Athletic Conference. They are led by head coach Terry Rooney, in his seventh season at UCF. Previous season In 2014, the Knights finished the season 2nd in the American with a record of 36–23, 17–7 in conference play. They qualified for the 2014 American Athletic Conference baseball tournament and were eliminated in pool play. They failed to qualify for the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. Terry Rooney (baseball Coach)
Terry Rooney is an American baseball coach and former pitcher, who is the current recruiting coordinator for the LSU Tigers baseball, LSU Tigers. He played college baseball at Davis & Elkins College in 1993, transferring to Radford Highlanders baseball, Radford where he played from 1994 to 1996. Rooney then served as the head coach of the UCF Knights baseball, UCF Knights (2009–2016) and the interim head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide baseball, Alabama Crimson Tide (2017). Head coaching career In 2009, Rooney replaced longtime UCF Knights baseball, UCF Knights head coach, Jay Bergman (baseball), Jay Bergman. On June 21, 2010, Rooney signed a four-year contract extension with the university, making him the Knights head baseball coach through 2014. Mike Martin Field at Dick Howser Stadium is a baseball venue located in Tallahassee, Florida, United States, located adjacent to Doak Campbell Stadium on the campus of Florida State University. The 2015 Florida State Seminoles baseball team represented Florida State University during the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Seminoles played their home games at Mike Martin Field at Dick Howser Stadium as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They were led by head coach Mike Martin, in his 36th season at Florida State. It was the Seminoles' 24th season as a member of the ACC and its 10th in the ACC's Atlantic Division.
