2015 UCI Europe Tour
The 2015 UCI Europe Tour was the eleventh season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2015 season began on 29 January 2015 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo Santanyí-Ses Salines-Campos and ended on 25 October 2015 with the Tour of Aegean. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI Europe Tour cycling jersey. Tom Van Asbroeck of Belgium is the defending champion of the 2014 UCI Europe Tour. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Jimmy Engoulvent (born 7 December 1979) is a French former road racing cyclist, who competed professionally between 2001 and 2015 for the , , and teams. Since retiring, Engoulvent has worked as a directeur sportif for the team, before moving to for the 2018 season. Career Born in Le Mans, Engoulvent was a prologue time trial specialist, having won many prologues throughout his professional career, he also specialised in small field sprints. He was the lanterne rouge of the 2012 Tour de France, as he finished last of the 153 riders to complete the Tour. Alexandre Geniez
Alexandre Geniez (born 16 April 1988) is a French professional cyclist, who last rode for UCI ProTeam . In March 2022 Geniez was convicted of domestic violence charges and given a four month suspended prison sentence. On 31 May 2022 terminated his contract effective immediately. Career One of his prestigious feats was winning the white jersey awarded to the best young rider in the 2011 Tour de Luxembourg. Geniez left at the end of the 2012 season, and joined for the 2013 season. In April 2015, Geniez won the Tro Bro Leon, a race cycled on asphalt and sandy roads, outsprinting four breakaway companions to accomplish the feat. Tro-Bro Léon ( en, Tour of Léon, french: Tour du Léon) is a professional cycle road race held in Finistère, Brittany. The event was first run in 1984 as an amateur race before becoming a professional race since 2000. The race was established in 2005 as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. In 2020, the event joined the UCI ProSeries in its inaugural edition, although the cancellation of the 2020 edition meant that the inaugural event was held in 2021.
