2015 Tour Of Austria
The 2015 Tour of Austria is the 67th edition of the Tour of Austria cycling stage race. It started in Wien on 4 July with a team time trial prologue, and concluded in Bregenz on 12 July. This was the first time in several years that the race consisted of 8 stages plus a prologue. It was part of the 2015 UCI Europe Tour, and was rated as a 2.HC event. 2015 UCI Europe Tour
The 2015 UCI Europe Tour was the eleventh season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2015 season began on 29 January 2015 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo Santanyí-Ses Salines-Campos and ended on 25 October 2015 with the Tour of Aegean. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI Europe Tour cycling jersey. Tom Van Asbroeck of Belgium is the defending champion of the 2014 UCI Europe Tour. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Rick Zabel (born 7 December 1993) is a road bicycle racer from Germany, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He is the son of Erik Zabel and grandson of Detlef Zabel. Cycling career Born in Unna, Zabel won the National Novice Track Championships in 2009, in the Madison event. Gratwein-Straßengel
Since 2015 Gratwein-Straßengel is a market town in the Graz-Umgebung District of Styria, Austria. The town took effect as part of the Styria municipal structural reform, from the end of 2014 with the merging of the former municipalities Gratwein, Judendorf-Straßengel, Eisbach and Gschnaidt. The merger made the market town population to be the 6th-largest in Styria. A petition by the mayor of Eisbach, to the constitutional court, against the merger was not successful. Likewise a petition from the town Gschnaidt was not successful. Geography Municipality layout The town lies to the west (right) bank of the Mur River, about northwest of the Styrian capital Graz. Windischgarsten is a municipality in the district of Kirchdorf an der Krems in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. Since 1964, the town has been classified as a Luftkurort, a mountain spa town. Geography Windischgarsten lies in the Traunviertel and is surrounded by mountains: the Haller Mauern in the South, the Sengsengebirge in the North, and the Totes Gebirge in the West. David Tanner (born 30 September 1984) is an Australian former professional road cyclist, who rode professionally between 2009 and 2018 for six different teams.
