2015 Third Division Football Tournament
The 2015 Third Division Football Tournament is the first season under its current league division format. The season begins in June. Structure and rule changes Third division will be played for two stages according to the changes brought to the 2015 season. ;Zone stage * Zone 1—8 includes clubs from all atolls of the Maldives. * Zone 9 split into two groups. * Male' clubs compete in Zone 9 group 1. * Offices and companies' recreation clubs compete in Zone 9 group 2. * Each zone play separate competitions (Zone 9 groups also play separate competition). * Champion teams of all zones qualify for final stage (also referred as Male' round). ;Final stage * 10 teams qualified for this stage divided into two even groups. * Teams play against each other once. * Top two teams of each group advance into semi-finals. * Two finalists qualify tor next year's Second Division Football Tournament The Maldivian Second Division Football Tournament is a football league tournament in the Mal ...

Third Division Football Tournament
Third Division Football Tournament is the third division of the Maldives Football League System, organized by the Football Association of Maldives. A new structure for the Third Division Football Tournament was introduced for the 2015 season. Structure Changes were brought to the third division league structure 23 December 2014, by the FAM's FIFA normalizing committee. According to the new structure, the third division consists of 9 zones under 2 groups. Joint zone 1—8 includes clubs from all atolls of the Maldives, and zone 9 is played between clubs from Male'. Both zones plays own qualification tournament and the champion clubs will be qualified for the final round, which is also referred as ''Male' round''. The final round consists of 10 clubs divided into two groups of five. Each club plays against the othe in the group once and the top two clubs advance into the semi-finals. Atolls Of The Maldives
The Maldives are formed by 20 natural atolls, along with a few islands and isolated reefs today which form a pattern stretching from 7 degrees 10′ North to 0 degrees 45′ South. The largest of these atolls is Boduthiladhunmathi, while the atoll containing the most islands is Huvadhu. Some atolls are in the form of a number of islands by time and in the form of isolated reefs, which could be classified as smaller atoll formations. All land above the surface in the Maldives is of coralline origin. The atolls of the Maldives form a quite regular chain and, especially in the northern and central atolls, an arrayed structure is apparent. There are broad and deep channels in between some atolls. The origin of the word "atoll" itself is in the language of the Maldives. "Atoll" (from dv, script=Latn, atholhu) is now used in many languages worldwide. The Maldivian Second Division Football Tournament is a football league tournament in the Maldives, organized by the Football Association of Maldives. A new structure for the Second Division Football Tournament was introduced for the 2015 season. Structure Changes were brought to the second division league structure 23 December 2014, by the FAM's FIFA normalizing committee. The division now consists of 10 clubs and two rounds are played. All teams play against each other once in the first round and the top five clubs will be qualified for the second round. These 5 clubs play against each other once and the club with most points is declared as champion, and promoted to the Dhivehi Premier League. Runner up will be qualified for the play-off match between the Dhivehi Premier League 9th position team for a spot in the next season's Premier League.
