2015 Super League Of Malawi
The 2015 TNM Super League was the 30th season of the Super League of Malawi, the top professional league for association football clubs in Malawi since its establishment in 1986. It started on 18 April 2015 and ended on 24 December 2015. Nyasa Big Bullets successfully defended their title, winning the twelfth Super League title. Teams Fifteen teams compete in this season: the top twelve teams from the previous season and three promoted teams from the regional leagues. Dedza Young Soccer (Central Region Football League), Surestream Academy (Southern Region Football League) and Mzuni FC (Northern Region Football League) entered as the three promoted teams, instead of the three relegated teams from previous season, Blantyre United, Chikwawa United and Karonga United. ;Other changes * Surestream Academy, was renamed during the season as FISD Wizards. Super League Of Malawi
Super League of Malawi, also known as the TNM Super League for sponsorship reasons, is the top football division in Malawi. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Malawi Regional Football Leagues. Malawian mobile telecommunications company TNM sponsors the league with K65 million annually. History It was created in 1986 and was first sponsored by Gillet Nacet. It was composed of eight teams: five teams from Blantyre and Districts Football League (BDFL) and three teams from Lilongwe and Districts Football League (LDFL). The eight inaugural members of the Super League of Malawi were Bata Bullets, Limbe Leaf Wanderers, MDC United, Red Lions, ADMARC Tigers, Silver Strikers, Civo United and MITCO. Blantyre United
Blantyre United Football Club was a Malawian football (soccer) club based in Blantyre founded in 2008 and dissolved in 2018. History The club was founded in 2008 as a reserve side for Escom United. In 2010, after won Southern Regional Football League and promoted to TNM Super League, was renamed Blantyre United. In the 2012–13 season, the Blantyre-based side finished 3rd, their best ever performance, but in the next season struggled to avoid relegation finishing 12th and relegated at the end of the 2014 season. After two seasons in the Second Division, Blantyre United returned to Super League of Malawi, winning the Southern Region Football League in 2016 season, but relegated again after ranking 15th at the end of the 2017 season. EPAC United Football Club was a Malawian football (soccer) club based in Lilongwe and played its home matches at the 25,000 capacity Civo Stadium. The club played eight seasons in the Super League of Malawi, the top division of Malawian football. Civil Service United Football Club-Civo (CIVO United), which represents Civil Services, is a Malawian football (soccer) club based in Lilongwe area 9, the team currently plays in the TNM Super League, the top division of Malawi football.
