The 2015 Royal Lahaina Challenger was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the sixth edition of the tournament which was part of the 2015 ATP Challenger Tour. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Jarmere Jenkins
Jarmere Jenkins (born November 25, 1990) is a retired American professional tennis player who became the hitting partner for Serena Williams. He was the 2013 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Player of the Year and male ACC Athlete of the Year after earning the national championships in indoor singles, outdoor doubles and team competition while also finishing runner up in outdoor singles. He was the first Atlantic Coast Conference athlete to win ACC athlete of the year solely for tennis accomplishments. In his first full year as a pro, he cracked the top 200 in the 2014 year end rankings at 193, but the costs of travel became prohibitive for him and he retired in 2017. Rhyne Williams
Robert Rhyne Williams (born March 22, 1991) is an American tennis player. He has not played on the ATP Tour since 2018 and is currently a tennis coach at the University of Tennessee. Williams first played on the professional circuit in 2006, but turned full-time professional in July 2011. Williams is the nephew of Mike De Palmer, former ATP pro (Top 35 in Singles, Top 20 in Doubles) who coached Boris Becker from 1994–99. He is the grandson of Mike DePalmer Sr, a coach at University of Tennessee (from 1981–94). Ryan Sweeting (born July 14, 1987) is an American former professional tennis player. Personal life Sweeting was born in Nassau, Bahamas. He has been living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and registered as an American to the ATP. In September 2013, Sweeting became engaged to actress Kaley Cuoco after three months of dating. Sekou Bangoura Jr. (born November 18, 1991) is an American professional tennis player. Bangoura partnered with Nathan Pasha to win the 2010 Kalamazoo Boys' Junior National Tennis Championship, defeating Jack Sock and Matthew Kandath 7–5, 6–3 in the finals. With their victory, Bangoura and Pasha earned a wildcard into the 2010 US Open doubles event, where they lost in the first round to Michael Kohlmann and Jarkko Nieminen 3–6, 1–6. Nicolas Christian Meister (born May 15, 1989) is an American tennis player. Meister has a career high ATP singles ranking of 263 achieved on June 13, 2016. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of 180 achieved on September 26, 2016. Meister made his ATP main draw debut at the 2012 Farmers Classic where he qualified for the main draw, defeating Ilija Bozoljac, Rik de Voest and Jimmy Wang in the qualifying rounds. Takanyi Garanganga
Takanyi Garanganga (born 6 September 1990) is a professional Zimbabwean tennis player. He was born in Mbare, Zimbabwe, a suburb of Harare, and began playing tennis at the age of 8. He first found success at the age of 14 playing tennis, winning the African Junior Championship at the age of 14. This success sparked the interest of Zimbabwean coach Brian de Villiers, who brought Garanganga to the United States. After a career on the junior circuit and graduating from high school at Keystone National High School in 2008, Garanganga turned down offers to play collegiate tennis at the University of Georgia and the University of Illinois to focus on a professional career.
