The 2015 Red Bull Air Race of Abu Dhabi was the first round of the 2015 Red Bull Air Race World Championship season, the tenth season of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship. The event was held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Paul Bonhomme from Great Britain took the opening race victory, finishing 0.084 seconds ahead of Australian pilot Matt Hall. 2015 Red Bull Air Race World Championship Season
The 2015 Red Bull Air Race World Championship was the tenth Red Bull Air Race World Championship series, contested over eight events in seven countries held between February and October. British pilot Paul Bonhomme won his third world title by five points, after winning half of the eight races. His closest challenger was Australian pilot Matt Hall, and the pair finished well clear at the top of the championship. Bonhomme won the opening two races of the season in Abu Dhabi and Chiba, before an eighth-place finish – his worst result of the season – in Rovinj, saw Hall tie his points tally with three podium finishes. François Le Vot
François Le Vot is a fighter pilot in the French air force, presenter and international competitor in aerobatics, most notably in the Red Bull Air Race. He was leader of the aerobatic team of the French Air Force and was 2013 Aerobatics World Champion. Biography Le Vot made his Red Bull Air Race debut in the 2014 Challenger Cup, winning races in Abu Dhabi, Rovinj and Putrajaya and ending up at 4th place in 2014 Challenger Cup after final winner-takes-all race. Florian Bergér (born 31 March 1989) is German pilot. He is a co-pilot of A320 in Lufthansa and a pilot of the Challenger class of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship. Petr Kopfstein
Petr Kopfstein (born March 18, 1978) is a Czech aerobatic pilot, representing the Czech Republic in flying aerobatics in an Unlimited category, and most recently a racer in the Master Class category of the Red Bull Air Race. He is the first winner of the Red Bull Air Race Challenger Cup. After his victory of the whole Challenger Cup in 2014, there were rumors about him moving to Masters; it became a reality for the 2016 season. Péter Besenyei and Paul Bonhomme departed from the series. In 2014, Petr Kopfstein won the Czech National Championship in the Unlimited category, beating his mate and aerobatic colleague Martin Šonka. He flew an Extra 300SC. In 2015, Petr Kopfstein participated again in the Red Bull Air Race Challenger Cup, taking 4th place at the end of the series.
