The 2015 Real Salt Lake season is the team's 11th year of existence and their eleventh consecutive season in Major League Soccer, the top division of the American soccer pyramid. In a largely rebuilding season, Salt Lake failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2007. Real Salt Lake
Real Salt Lake, often shortened to RSL, is an American professional soccer franchise based in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The club competes as a member club of Major League Soccer (MLS) in the Western Conference. RSL began play in 2005 as an expansion team of the league. The club was founded in 2004 when the club's first owner and founder was awarded an expansion berth in Major League Soccer. The club plays its home games at America First Field, a soccer-specific stadium located in the Salt Lake City suburb of Sandy, Utah, which they shared with their sister team, Utah Royals FC. Before moving to America First, RSL previously played home games at Rice-Eccles Stadium, located on the campus of the University of Utah, from 2005 to 2007. Anteater Stadium
Anteater Stadium is a 2,500-seat multi-purpose stadium with a bermuda grass field on the campus of University of California, Irvine in Irvine, California, United States. It is used by the UC Irvine Anteaters men's & women's soccer and track and field teams. History The stadium hosted the women's division of the 1973 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The USC Trojans football team used the stadium for practices around 2000. In 2000, renovations added lights to Anteater Stadium. Devon Sandoval
Devon Sandoval (born June 16, 1991) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a forward. Early career The son of Diana and Greg Sandoval and native of Albuquerque, Sandoval attended Eldorado High School in New Mexico, where he played soccer. He continued his education and soccer career at San Diego State University, but remained there only until his freshman year. He then transferred to the University of New Mexico, where he would spend the remainder of his three college years. Luke Mulholland
Luke Mulholland (born 7 August 1988) is a former English footballer and current scout for Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer. Career College and amateur Mulholland began his career with English non-league side Lancaster City. He was thrown into the team as a youngster due to the club's financial difficulties but starred during a difficult period for the club. Mulholland played his college career at Wingate University from 2007 to 2010. In 2009 Mulholland was named First Team All-American and SAC Conference Player of the Year.
