2015 Nebraska Cornhuskers Football Team
The 2015 Nebraska Cornhuskers football team represented the University of Nebraska in the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by first-year head coach Mike Riley and played their home games at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. They were members of the West Division of the Big Ten Conference. Nebraska struggled with many close losses in the 2015 season and finished the regular season with a 5–7 overall record, but was able to hand a playoff-bound and Big Ten champion Michigan State team their only loss of the regular season. Nebraska still qualified for a bowl game, one of three teams to do so with a 5–7 record (the others being in-conference rival Minnesota and San Jose State). This was due to the lack of six-wins teams to fill the 80 bowl slots in the FBS and because of their APR score in relation to other FBS teams that also had a 5–7 record. Mike Riley (American Football)
Michael Joseph Riley (born July 6, 1953) is an American football coach who is the head coach and general manager for the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League (USFL). He has previously served as the head coach of two college football programs: Oregon State (1997–1998, 2003–2014) and Nebraska (2015–2017). Riley has also been the head coach of teams in four different professional leagues: the Canadian Football League (CFL), World League of American Football (WLAF), National Football League (NFL), and Alliance of American Football (AAF). Southaven High School is a public secondary school located in Southaven, Mississippi, United States. It began in the fall of 1971, when construction was completed enough so that students could start the first classes. The original school taught 6th through 12th. Devine Eghosa Ozigbo (born October 2, 1996) is an American football running back who is a free agent. He played college football at Nebraska and signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2019. Early years Ozigbo attended and played high school football at Sachse High School.
