2015 National Rugby Championship
The 2015 National Rugby Championship (known as the Buildcorp National Rugby Championship for sponsorship reasons) was the second season of Australia's National Rugby Championship, involving nine professional rugby union teams from around Australia. The competition kicked off 20 August 2015. The regular season was dominated by two teams, and , who went on to play in the championship final. The deciding match, played at Ballymore, was won 21–10 by Brisbane to claim their second consecutive NRC title. Liam Bradley Gill (born 8 June 1992) is a professional rugby union player for Lyon. He was born in Melbourne and lived in the United States before playing junior Rugby in Adelaide for the Old Collegians. His regular playing position is Flanker. Nick Stiles
Nick Stiles (born 17 October 1973) is an Australian professional rugby union coach and a former player for the Queensland Reds. He also played in twelve Tests for Australia as a loosehead prop. Family and early life Stiles was born in Melbourne, but grew up in Brisbane. He was educated at Gregory Terrace, where he rowed in the first VIII and played rugby for the first XV. Stiles was selected for the Australian Schoolboys side in 1992 and named as captain. In 1993 and 1994, Stiles played in the Queensland Under 21s side and was a fringe player in the Queensland Reds squad. During this time, Stiles played for Souths in the Brisbane club competition. David Hickey (rugby Union)
David Hickey (born 12 June 1991) is an Australian rugby union player. He is currently the captain of the Sydney Stars team in the National Rugby Championship, and he previously played for the New South Wales Waratahs. Hickey was born in Coonabarabran in the Central West of New South Wales. He attended St Joseph's College in Sydney where he played rugby for the first XV in 2008. Hickey joined the Sydney University rugby club, and was a member of the University's Shute Shield premiership-winning team in 2012. Peter Playford
Peter Playford (born 11 July 1980) is an Australian rugby union football coach and a former professional player for the Waratahs and Brumbies on the wing. Playford was head coach of the Sydney Stars team for the 2015 season of the National Rugby Championship. One of his nicknames is P² (P squared). Early life Peter Playford was born in Sydney. He attended St. Joseph's College and was selected for the Australian Schoolboys team. Rugby career Playford made his state debut for the Waratahs in 2000 against Argentina. He was selected for the Australia U-21 side in 2001, and briefly switched codes to play rugby league for the Sydney Roosters in 2002. Geoff Townsend
Geoff Townsend (born 1964) is an Australian professional rugby union football coach. He is currently head coach of Sydney club Gordon RFC, and he was appointed as head coach of the North Harbour Rays for the inaugural season of Australia's National Rugby Championship in 2014. Townsend began his professional rugby coaching career in 1997 with three undefeated seasons as co-head coach of the New South Wales Under 19 team. He was the co-head coach of the Manly first grade team in the Shute Shield in 1999 and 2000. Jed Holloway (born 2 November 1992) is an Australian professional rugby union footballer. He currently plays for NSW Country Eagles, and the Wallabies (the Australian national team). His usual playing positions are number 8, flanker or lock. Early life Holloway was born in Wollongong, where he first played junior rugby with the Woonona Shamrocks club. Jono Lance (born 27 June 1990) is a professional rugby union footballer who previously played for Western Force in the Super Rugby AU competition. He usually plays at full-back, fly-half or centre. Darren Coleman
Darren Coleman (born 1973) is an Australian professional rugby union coach. He is currently head coach of the New South Wales Waratahs. Family and early life Coleman grew up in Kempsey on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, where he played rugby for the Kempsey Cannonballs team, before moving south to play in the Sydney club rugby competition.
