2015 NIT
The 2015 National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 32 NCAA Division I teams that were not selected to participate in the 2015 NCAA tournament. The annual tournament is being played on campus sites for the first three rounds, with the Final Four and Championship game being held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The tournament began on Tuesday, March 17 and ended on Thursday, April 2. On February 6, the NCAA announced the 2015 NIT will use a 30-second shot clock (same as its WNIT counterpart) and a 4-foot (1.22 m) restricted-area arc as experimental rules for the 2015 tournament. On March 4, the NCAA announced teams that are marked as the first four teams left out of the 2015 NCAA tournament field will be the top-seeded teams in the 2015 NIT. The 1979 National Invitation Tournament was the 1979 edition of the annual NCAA college basketball competition. Indiana University defeated their rival Purdue University 53–52 in the championship game. Purdue appeared in the 1980 NCAA Men's Final Four while Indiana won the national championship at the 1981 NCAA Men's Final Four. 2015 Ohio Valley Conference Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2015 Ohio Valley Conference men's basketball tournament was held March 4–7 at Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Format The OVC tournament was an eight-team tournament with the third and fourth seeds receiving a first round bye and the two divisional winners receiving byes through to the semifinals. The top team in each division, based on conference winning percentage, automatically earned a berth into the tournament. The next six teams with the highest conference winning percentage also earned a bid, regardless of division. The No. 1 seed went to the divisional winner with the higher conference winning percentage, while the No. 2 seed automatically went to the other divisional winner. 2014–15 Murray State Racers Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Murray State Racers men's basketball team represented Murray State University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Racers, led by fourth year head coach Steve Prohm, played their home games at the CFSB Center and were members of the West Division of the Ohio Valley Conference. They finished the season 29–6, 16–0 in OVC play to win the West Division championship and the overall OVC regular season championship. After a 2–4 start, the Racers won 25 games in a row before losing in the championship game of the OVC tournament to Belmont. 2015 Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2015 Big Sky Conference men's basketball tournament was held March 12–14, 2015. All games were hosted by the Montana Grizzlies, which won a tiebreaker with regular season co-champions Eastern Washington, at Dahlberg Arena. The champion, Eastern Washington, received an automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA tournament. This was the final Big Sky tournament to be held at a campus site, and also the last one in which certain teams were excluded due to poor performance. From 2016 forward, the tournament will involve all conference members (barring NCAA sanctions), and will be held at a predetermined neutral site, with the first neutral-site tournament to be held at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada.
