2015 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour
The 2015 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour was the eleventh season of the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour (WSMT). It began with the Spring Classic 150 at Caraway Speedway on March 15 and ended with the Charlotte 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 8. Andy Seuss, who entered the season as the defending Drivers' Champion, won the championship, three points in front of George Brunnhoelzl III. Five races during the season were televised in the United States on NBCSN by a tape-delay. Whelen Southern Modified Tour
The Southern Modified Auto Racing Teams (SMART) Tour is a Modified stock car racing series racing in the Southeastern United States, Southeastern region of The United States. The series began in 1989, NASCAR took over the series in 2005. During its time as a NASCAR sanctioned series it followed identical regulations to the Northern NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. The series merged with the Northern Modified Tour in 2017 bringing an end to the series after almost 30 years. The series came back in late 2020 without NASCAR sanction under the SMART Tour name and ran its first full season since 2004 in 2021 with the likes of Bobby Labonte and Ryan Preece competing. Mike Norman
Mike Norman (born March 29, 1958) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competed in the now defunct NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour from 2009 to 2015. He is the father of Cody Norman, a competitor in 602 and Tour Type modifieds. Danny Bohn
Daniel Timothy Bohn (born June 29, 1988) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 44 Chevrolet Silverado for Niece Motorsports. Racing career NASCAR Modified Tours Craftsman Truck Series Bohn attempted the 2019 NASCAR Hall of Fame 200 at Martinsville Speedway. He started the race 19th, making his debut the next day, finishing 8th. His team, On Point Motorsports, later announced a two-race extension to close out the season. Bohn would have a disappointing run at ISM and Homestead finishing 27th at ISM after blowing a right-front tire early and finishing 25th at Homestead-Miami. Eric Goodale
Eric Goodale (born November 9, 1985) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes part-time in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, driving the No. 58 for Edgar Goodale. He is the younger brother of Kevin Goodale, and the first cousin of Jeff Goodale, who have both competed in the Modified Tour. Goodale's family owns and operates Riverhead Building Supply, a longtime supporter of modified racing. Goodale is long-time competitor of the series, having made his debut in 2008, and has since won five races and three pole positions. Frank Fleming (born July 25, 1959) is an American stock car racing driver. Fleming previously competed in the NASCAR Busch Series and the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour. Currently, he competes part-time in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. Fleming competed in 10 NASCAR Busch Series races between 1988 and 1991. Frank Douglas Coby III (born August 18, 1979) is an American professional racing driver who last competed part-time in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and the SMART Modified Tour, driving the No. 7 Chevrolet for Tommy Baldwin Racing.
