2015 NASCAR Mexico Series
The 2015 NASCAR Mexico Series was the ninth season of the NASCAR Mexico Series, and the twelfth organized by NASCAR Mexico. On January 13, 2015, the NASCAR México Series presented by FOX Sports 3 announced that its entitlement sponsorship with Toyota stopped in 2015 after three years. It began with the Toyota 120 at Phoenix International Raceway on March 13, and ended with the RedCo 240 at Autódromo Chiapas, on November 22. Abraham Calderón entered the season as the defending Drivers' Champion. Rubén García, Jr. won the championship, eighteen points in front of Rubén Rovelo. NASCAR Mexico Series
The NASCAR Mexico Series (formerly NASCAR Corona Series and other names) is a NASCAR series in Mexico. It is the most prestigious stock car racing series in the country. Origins (Desafío Corona) The Desafío Corona was established in 2004 by NASCAR Mexico, a joint-venture between NASCAR and Mexican entertainment group OCESA, with the idea of developing stock car racing in Mexico, and fueling a transition from the country's historically Open-wheel car racing fan base to stock car racing. From 2004 to 2006, the Desafío Corona grew considerably in infrastructure, as well as in number of fans, drivers and sponsors. Tuxtla Gutiérrez (, ) is the capital and the largest city of the Mexican southeastern state of Chiapas. Juan Pablo García (born October 4, 1987) is a Mexican racing driver. Racing career Early career Garcia began his professional career in Formula Renault 2000 de America in 2006. He made two A1 Grand Prix starts for A1 Team Mexico that winter and then drove in the British Formula 3 Championship National Class, finishing 7th. In 2008 he drove in Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup, finishing 16th, and Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup where he failed to score. Indy Lights In August 2009 he signed on to make his Indy Lights debut for HVM Racing at Infineon Raceway after being inactive for much of the year. Enrique Contreras III (born May 22, 1992) is a Mexican professional stock car racing driver. He has competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and most notably, NASCAR Mexico Series. He is the son of former Indy Lights racer Enrique Contreras II and nephew of NASCAR driver Carlos Contreras. Jorge Goeters
Jorge Goeters (born June 26, 1970) is a Mexican racecar driver. At the present time, Goeters competes full-time in the NASCAR Mexico Series in Mexico. In the past few years he also competed at the international level on a limited basis, running a handful of races in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, NASCAR Busch Series, NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series, Indy Lights, Champ Car World Series, A1 Grand Prix, and Rolex Sports Car Series. Dodge
Dodge is an American brand of automobiles and a division of Stellantis, based in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
