2015 Louisville Cardinals Football Team
The 2015 Louisville Cardinals football team represented the University of Louisville in the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Cardinals were led by second-year head coach Bobby Petrino, who began his second stint at Louisville in 2014 season after eight years away. The team played its 18th season at its current home of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky. They competed in the Atlantic Coast Conference in the Atlantic Division. They finished the season 8–5, 5–3 in ACC play to finish in third place in the Atlantic Division. They were invited to the Music City Bowl where they defeated Texas A&M. Bobby Petrino
Robert Patrick Petrino (born March 10, 1961) is an American football coach. He currently serves as the Offensive Coordinator for the Texas A&M Aggies. He is the former head coach for the Missouri State Bears. Previously, he served as the head coach of the Louisville Cardinals football team from 2014 until being fired during the 2018 season. He previously held the post from 2003 to 2006. From 2008 to 2011, Petrino was the head football coach at the University of Arkansas. He was dismissed from that position in the spring of 2012 for covering up an extramarital affair with a football department staffer. Petrino also coached the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL) for the first 13 games of the 2007 season, quitting to take the head coaching job of the Arkansas Razorbacks. Greg Brown (born October 10, 1957) is an American football coach. He is currently the Defensive Coordinator at Charlotte. He was previously the secondary coach for Auburn University and the Missouri Tigers. Brown, for one season, was the secondary coach for Alabama. He was hired by the Crimson Tide in January 2013 after he served as defensive coordinator for Colorado. In 2010, he was co-defensive coordinator for the Arizona Wildcats. Lamar Nathaniel Thomas (born February 12, 1970 in Ocala, Florida) is a former American football Wide Receiver and current Wide Receivers coach for the Orlando Guardians of the XFL. College career Thomas played college football and college basketball and ran track at the University of Miami before being drafted in the third round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kolby Kendrall Smith (born December 15, 1984) is a former American football running back and coach who is an offensive assistant for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft after he played college football at Louisville Cardinals football, Louisville. The Nevada Wolf Pack football program represents the University of Nevada, Reno (commonly referred to as "Nevada" in athletics) in college football. The Wolf Pack competes in the Mountain West Conference at the Football Bowl Subdivision level of the NCAA Division I. It was founded on October 24, 1896, as the Sagebrushers in Reno, Nevada. The Navy Midshipmen football team represents the United States Naval Academy in NCAA Division I FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) college football. The Naval Academy completed its final season as an FBS independent school (not in a conference) in 2014, and became a single-sport member of the American Athletic Conference beginning in the 2015 season.
