2015 Launceston Tennis International
The 2015 Launceston Tennis International was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the first edition (for men) and fourth edition (for women) of the tournament which is part of the 2015 ATP Challenger Tour and the 2015 ITF Women's Circuit, offering a total of $50,000 in prize money for both genders. It took place in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia, on 8–15 February 2015. ATP Challenger Tour
The ATP Challenger Tour, known until the end of 2008 as the ATP Challenger Series, is a series of international men's professional tennis tournaments. The Challenger Tour events are the second-highest tier of tennis competition, behind the ATP Tour. The ITF World Tennis Tour tournaments are on the entry-level of international professional tennis competition. The ATP Challenger Tour is administered by the Association of Tennis Professionals. Players who succeed on the ATP Challenger Tour earn sufficient ranking points to become eligible for main draw or qualifying draw entry at ATP Tour tournaments. Players on the Challenger Tour are usually young players looking to advance their careers, those who fail to qualify for ATP events, or former ATP players looking to get back into the big tour. Kyle Steven Edmund (born 8 January 1995) is a South African born-British professional tennis player. He has a career-high singles ranking of world No. 14 and was the top-ranked male British tennis player from March 2018 through October 2019. Irina Falconi ( es, Falconí; born May 4, 1990) is an Ecuadorian-born American former tennis player. She moved to Manhattan, New York, as a toddler. Finn Tearney (born 27 September 1990) is a tennis player from New Zealand. Bradley Klahn (born August 20, 1990) is an American professional tennis player from Poway, California. Klahn played collegiate tennis at Stanford University, where he won the 2010 NCAA Singles Championships as a sophomore. His next year as a junior, he was a finalist in the NCAA Doubles Championship.
