2015 Kagame Interclub Cup
The 2015 Kagame Interclub Cup was the 40th edition of the Kagame Interclub Cup, which is organised by CECAFA. It took place in Tanzania from 18 July to 2 August. All times shown are in East Africa Time (UTC+3). Broadcasting South African sports channel SuperSport secured official rights to broadcast all matches played at the tournament, and this year secured a contract to broadcast the cup for the next 4 years. Amaan Stadium
Amaan Stadium (also spelled Amani) is a stadium in Zanzibar, Tanzania. The stadium holds 15,000 people. History The stadium was built with Chinese government aid and opened in 1970. This was China's first stadium project in Africa and it marked the beginning of its stadium diplomacy over the decades. The stadium was the location of a ceremony on 5 February 1977, uniting the Afro-Shirazi Party and the Tanganyika African National Union into the Chama cha Mapinduzi. The flags of the respective parties were raised and lowered for the last time with the flag of the Chama cha Mapinduzi then being raised. Amani Abeid Karume was sworn in as president of Zanzibar on 8 November 2000. The stadium underwent refurbishment again with Chinese assistance, reopening in 2010. The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) is the governing body of association football in Uganda. The association was founded in 1924, became affiliated with FIFA in 1960 and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in 1961. In 1973, FUFA went ahead and got affiliated with CECAFA. Tanzania National Main Stadium also known as Benjamin Mkapa Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Miburani ward of Temeke District in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It opened in 2007 and was built adjacent to Uhuru Stadium, the former national stadium. Goal difference, goal differential or points difference is a form of tiebreaker used to rank sport teams which finish on equal points in a league competition. Either "goal difference" or "points difference" is used, depending on whether matches are scored by goals (as in ice hockey and association football) or by points (as in rugby union and basketball).
