2015 Ice Challenge
The 2015 Ice Challenge was a senior international figure skating competition held in late October 2015 at the Liebenauer Eishalle in Graz, Austria. It was part of the 2015–16 ISU Challenger Series. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four ( men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15. The ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating is a separate competition series in the discipline of synchronized skating. History The ISU Council decided to create the series at its February 2014 meeting. Eleven competitions were selected in June 2014. The Triglav Trophy dropped out by October 10, 2014, resulting in a series composed of ten events. Ice Dancing
Ice dance (sometimes referred to as ice dancing) is a discipline of figure skating that historically draws from ballroom dancing. It joined the World Figure Skating Championships in 1952, and became a Winter Olympic Games medal sport in 1976. According to the International Skating Union (ISU), the governing body of figure skating, an ice dance team consists of one woman and one man. Ice dance, like pair skating, has its roots in the "combined skating" developed in the 19th century by skating clubs and organizations and in recreational social skating. Anna Dušková (born 30 December 1999) is a retired Czech figure skater. Competing in pairs with partner Martin Bidař, she is the 2016 World Junior champion, 2016 Youth Olympic silver medalist (individually and in the team event), and 2015 JGP Final silver medalist. Loena Hendrickx (; born 5 November 1999) is a Belgian figure skater. She is the 2022 World silver medalist, the 2023 European silver medalist, the 2022–23 Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, the 2022 Grand Prix de France champion, a two-time Challenger series gold medalist, a two-time International Challenge Cup champion (2017, 2021), and a five-time Belgian national champion (2017–2019, 2022–2023).
