The 2015 GoDaddy Bowl was a post-season American college football bowl game played on December 23, 2015, at Ladd–Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. The 17th edition of the GoDaddy Bowl featured the 2015 Bowling Green Falcons football team, Bowling Green Falcons of the Mid-American Conference against the 2015 Georgia Southern Eagles football team, Georgia Southern Eagles of the Sun Belt Conference. Ladd–Peebles Stadium
Ladd–Peebles Stadium (formerly Ernest F. Ladd Memorial Stadium) is a stadium located in Mobile, Alabama. Opened in 1948, it has a seating capacity of 33,471. It is primarily used for American football, and is the home field for the Senior Bowl, the LendingTree Bowl through the 2020 season, and the South Alabama Jaguars football, University of South Alabama Jaguars through the 2019 South Alabama Jaguars football team, 2019 season. After the 2019 season, the Jaguars moved to the new on-campus Hancock Whitney Stadium. In addition to football, the stadium is also used for concerts (maximum capacity 50,000), boxing matches, high school graduations, trade shows, and festivals. 2015 Bowling Green Falcons Football Team
The 2015 Bowling Green Falcons football team represented Bowling Green State University in the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Falcons played their home games at Doyt Perry Stadium. They were led by second-year head coach Dino Babers and were members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 10–4, 7–1 in MAC play to be champions of the East Division. They represented the East Division in the MAC Championship where they defeated Northern Illinois to become MAC champions. They were invited to the GoDaddy Bowl where they lost to Georgia Southern. Matt Breida
Matthew John Breida (born February 28, 1995) is an American football running back for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Georgia Southern and signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He has also played for the Miami Dolphins. He played college football at the University of Alabama, Bowling Green State University, and Southern Methodist University (SMU). Roger Lamonte Lewis Jr. (born November 27, 1993) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football at Bowling Green. In 2016, Lewis was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Giants. Early life Lewis attended Pickerington High School Central in Pickerington, Ohio. He became a star football player at the school and he earned scholarship offers from 17 Division I schools. During his senior year in 2012, Lewis was charged with two counts of rape. It was alleged that he raped a classmate in the basement of another classmate's house on December 2, 2011. The 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season was the highest level of college football competition in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
