2015 F2000 Championship Series Season
The 2015 F2000 Championship Series season is the tenth season of competition for the series. 21 year-old American Sam Beasley won all but two races of the fourteen round championship, dominating his way to the title. Second place Eric Filgueras was held winless and finished well back in the Championship. Canadian Steve Bamford won the Masters Championship for drivers over 40 years old and finished third overall in points with one win. F2000 Championship Series
The F2000 Championship Series is a North American–based open wheel road racing series based on Formula Continental, a wings and slicks series that is designed to be the second step after Formula F 1600. The series utilizes the 2.0L powerplant of the new Mazda MZR engine or an older Zetec or Pinto engine coupled with chassis from companies such as Van Diemen, Citation, Mygale, RFR, Radon and Piper. Unlike other developmental series, there are no spec cars in F2000. The series has existed in one form or another since the 1970s and the current championship has been in place since 2006 and was founded by a group of Sports Car Club of America racers as a pro series for SCCA Formula Continental club racers looking for more competition, and a proving ground for aspiring open wheel racers. 2008 champion Anders Krohn has gone on to Star Mazda as has 2009 champion Chris Miller. John McCusker (racing Driver)
John McCusker (born 15 May 1973) is a Scottish folk musician, record producer, and composer. He had a long association as a member of Battlefield Band beginning in the 1990s and was later a band member and producer for folk singer Kate Rusby. He has served as producer and arranger for various artists. He has also released several solo albums. Career McCusker was born in Bellshill, Scotland on May 15, 1973. He had an Irish mother who encouraged him to learn to play the fiddle beginning at age seven. He became a regular in local youth orchestras and ceilidh bands and formed the band Parcel O'Rogues (named from Robert Burns' '' Sic a Parcel o' Rogues in a Nation'') with some schoolmates when he was 14. A couple of years later he gave up a place at the Royal Scottish Academy in Glasgow to tour with Battlefield Band, who he spent eleven years with. His first solo album was released by Temple in 1995.
