Shaolin Sándor Liu
Shaolin Sándor Liu (; ; born 20 November 1995) is a Chinese-Hungarian Olympic champion short track speed skater. He has won one gold and one bronze as part of the Hungarian team in short track speed skating relays at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics. He has chosen to change nationality that may allow him to compete for China in 2024. Career Born and raised in Hungary to a Chinese father and a Hungarian mother, Liu started the sport in 2006. Before taking up skating, Liu and his brother Shaoang swam for two years, but they frequently got colds as a result. After looking for different sports to compete in, they took up short track speed skating. In 2006, the World Championships were held in Hungary. Their father assisted the Chinese team during their stay, helping with their stay and guiding them around. Agnė Sereikaitė (born 19 October 1994 in Vilnius, Lithuania) is a Lithuanian short track speed skater. In the 2014 Winter Olympics Sereikaitė participated in all three individual events and became the first Lithuanian short track skater to qualify. She finished 24th at 500 meter distance. She was penalized at the 1000 meter distance and reached the semifinals of the 1500 meter event, where she broke her personal record by almost 5 seconds and finished 16th overall. She was the Lithuanian flag bearer at the closing ceremony. In October 2018 Sreikaitė announced her retirement from competitive sport. Arianna Fontana
Arianna Fontana OMRI (born 14 April 1990) is an Italian short track speed skater, who has won eleven Olympic medals among these two gold medals in the 500m short track, one at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang and the second one at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Her medal haul following the 2022 Games made her the short track skater with the most Olympic medals. It also made her the Italian sportswoman with the highest number of Winter Olympic medals, one more than Stefania Belmondo. She specializes in the 500 m event. Patrycja Maliszewska (born in Białystok) is a Polish short-track speed-skater. Career Maliszewska competed at the 2010 Winter Olympics for Poland. She finished fourth in the first round of the 500 metres and sixth in the first round of the 1500 metres, failing to advance. She finished 29th in each of her events. As of 2013, Maliszewska's best finish at the World Championships is 10th, in the 500 metres in 2013. Elise Christie
Elise Christie (born 13 August 1990) is a British former short track speed skater. She was coached by Nicky Gooch and she specialised in the 1000m event. She is ten times a European gold medallist, including two overall European titles in 2015 and 2016. In the 2017 World Championships in Rotterdam she won world titles in the 1000m and 1500m events, as well as the overall gold, the first British woman and first European woman to do so. Early life Christie was born in Livingston, Scotland in 1990. She went to school at St Margaret's Academy in Livingston. Christie later studied in Loughborough College on the Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE) sports programme. She was originally a figure skater but took up speed skating when she was about twelve years old.
